I'm still logging in to do this or that (and play an alt through the old MSQ stuff) but I haven't touched 7.1 or 7.2 yet.

If you liked bozja you'll probably like this, but the content has never been for me so I haven't touched it yet. My friends who usually avoid this kinda content are enjoying it though. Take that for whatever you want.

The outdoor area is fun. Get the mount speed increase as a priority though. The phantom jobs vary wildly in terms of how fun they are, so experiment. Cannoneer is very pew-pew. Chemist lets you res others (but you need to level it up a bit first). Etc.
The raid is inaccessible as fuck. A slap in the face for the vast majority. Delubrum Reginae was a perfectly valid way of having content for casuals and hardcore players in one place, but apparently we can go fuck ourselves for not being top 1% players.

Level to cap.
Find Discord group.
Have right Phantom Job capped.
Group up.
Queue for Occult Crescent instance.
Make sure all groups of 8 are in the same instance (minimum 16 players needed to enter tower, minimum 24 for success, up to 48 can enter).
Wait for right weather conditions.
Go to top of tower.
Use scrolls.
Enter raid.
Here's the main inaccessible bit: Make 3 mistakes during a fight and it kills you outright. I think that drops to two mistakes later on. Dying three times dumps you out of the instance.
To try again, level back to 20 and buy another scroll.
There's no content here for casual players. It's organised high end content. It's a real shame, because DR normal is a fantastic dungeon for casuals. You just get a group of 8 and queue. You don't even need to be in the area instance for it.

I haven't played since Dawntrail launch. I know "is it good" posts are dumb, but idk how to ask exactly. Is there a lot of new content to sink time into? Would you personally call it "fun" content and why? If you found Dawntrail launch story sorta boring might you enjoy where the story has gone since then?

Once again it makes me wonder who the fuck are SE even listening to when they do stuff like this? So many changes from EW to now seem at odds with what the general pulse of the playerbase is in favor of. Where are they pulling information from? Even JP players don't like some of the changes that have happened in DT so it can't be "well they're just only listening to JP players."

You can look at patch notes for what content has been added, but it's basically another Ishgard and another (apparently shittier) Bozja along with the usual trials and raids.
Unless you're really jonesing for more DT story, smart money would be to wait until the 7.5 patch or later before hopping back in.

Raid has been pretty fantastic overall, and FRU was kinda mid but still a fun fight. I'm finding occult better than bozja (bozja was just dogshit though to me, hated all of it but I also think FF12 is kinda shit) Story's fine, like it really depends on what you are after, if just story wait until end of xpac, if you raid it's so much better than pandaemonium to me.
My sub is still rolling and I'm still doing the crafting/occult/raids and stuff and don't find keeping up with the MSQ too tedious.

Finally played through 7.1 and 7.2. While 7.0 picked up dramatically storywise once we head to Xak Tural, IMO; the patches really helped with the world building. Interesting to see what direction they take in 7.3, whether there actually is an Ascian involved somehow (spontaneous appearance of a miracle ore on the Ninth pushing the reflection closer to a rejoining state, Calyx talking about transcending flesh, Simulant Sphene/Calyx/presumably Preservation using terminology that we of the Source use to describe the Sundered World/s)
One question/feeling that I have after finishing 7.1:
Did Teeshal Ja love/actually want Gulool Ja, or did she view him as an object? She had a very clear obsession with Zoraal Ja, to the point that she needed to beg of him a favour for doing a good job to get with him. This makes me think that because he was born of this weird obsession and via what we heard her say in the audio logs, she had this object that she cherished rather than a baby that she loved. Also, does Zoraal Ja not know about the birds and the bees, or was he just that broken that he couldn't process what Gulool Ja was in that scene?

Are they gonna announce 8.0 at the april fan fest? I sure hope so.

So 7.5 trailer on friday and next week is 8.0, then 7.5 release, really wish we could had some speculation for 8.0 but, I mean its kinda obvious what it will be. still excited.
