Game directors of big AAA games are almost always programmers or game designers. Metzen was only ever an artist, writer, and voice actor. He could be creating the story but I doubt he would be heading the actual development of a WoW expansion.

Hmm, pretty much the same post as this 4chan thread that uses a logo made by someone here on MMO-C who has used Awakening as title for their leaks before. Not sure that means much for the text itself, but it's not doing the leak any favors as a whole. But on the other hand, something along the lines of this would explain what that encrypted 1.15 patch is that we've been seeing on encrypted patch endpoint since April.

The whole point of Classic+ is to do away with expansions and expand the game on the fundamentals of vanilla WoW. Charging a $49.99 price for some new content in a 20 year old game that doesn't take anywhere near as much to make as a brand new WoW expansion sounds mental. If Blizzard really needs to monetize Classic+ to make it profitable, they are best off taking the F2P approach and make a cosmetic only shop (but also make them obtainable in-game). Ideally just having a sub would be enough.

Chris Metzen is just a consultant, he still has his own company to lead. Also I don't buy that the first raid tier would be against the Scourge as the last tier (Naxx40) was also Scourge themed. Originally it would have been Karazhan that followed up Naxxramas which is why it ended up being the first raid in TBC (and you reformed Atiesh inside Naxx aswell). I guess we will see on November 3rd but this just screams fake.
