A 10 year old raid that just had a new feature added to it last patch.

I don't think the age really matters at that point, and let's be honest the alternative was probably delaying the skip so they can fix it, but they decided people would rather d/c and log back in and have the skip sooner.

I wouldn’t use the term tiny but it is a minority. As is almost every group of people in the game. But it’s also not about the mount, there’s a rather unique transmog item that collectors would definitely want too

I’m hoping they modify the skip slightly… and that is to open the doors leading back through the instance so we can work our way backwards through the raid. Getting to those final bosses takes ages

Then you work for a shitty company that doesn't care about worker's rights. There is no such thing as a bug free game, and the more you add to a game, the more chance in the spaghetti code that is a 25+ year old development cycle of base game + Expansions. The more bugs that will happen.

Hell for all we know there is a fix for this, but this fix breaks something far more important, so that has to be sorted before the fix comes out and even then it has to be that the said fix doesn't break something else. Which is the most likely thing to happen in software development.

I’m honestly amazed this thread is still going, imagine being so upset at the tiniest, least intrusive bug ever on content that is a decade old that’s costs essentially no time at all and then arguing about it because you think a major developer is going to see your comment and go, “oh dang, randommmo-championguy69 is upset, let’s get this fixed asap!” XD

Bros are really defending a bug that effects 100% of players 100% of the time as if that just "happened", as if weeks of testing of the Garrosh skip internally went flawless and then as soon as it shipped, OOPS, gosh, it's broken 100% of the time for 100% of the people who touch the scroll. What a bunch of goons lmao. Defending this so toxically and vehemently as you people are is why triple A studios aren't held accountable for their shit titles they keep shipping.

Ahh typical mmo champion that anything slightly nicer than the devs head belongs on a pike is considered white knighting

WE KNOW ITS A BUG WE KNOW IT SHOULD BE FIXED but we also acknowledge that it's probably low priority and the fact is even with the disconnect it's faster than having to slog through the entire raid

Oh, I don't consider Blizzard any better. Hell, I'm of the opinion if you're a company that doesn't treat all workers as equals and have all the workers having an equal say, with equal access to profits then you should be lined up and forced to give up 99% of the assets because you're clearly an exploitative piece of shit.

It's not quite 100%. I've had it work without a dc one time out of probably 50 attempts.

Also people aren't saying that it shouldn't be fixed, just that it's nowhere near a priority or as big a deal as you are making it. It's a minor annoyance to relog and the number of players running Siege isn't that large. For those that are still running it most find the disconnect is still less annoying than running the entire raid.

I've never heard of anyone not getting DC'd upon taking the port - it's literally broken. It DC's everyone, each time. I've ran SoO countless times on 8 toons a week since the skip and i've never not been Dc'd. Everyone else says the same thing in mount farming discords and groups - it DC's everyone. This is what I mean by a bug that effects everyone that uses it. Yes of coarse it doesn't effect 100% of wow players - if you don't run SoO, holy shit, of fucking coarse. Derp. That's not what I'm saying and you have to purposely play just plain ignorant to insinuate that I meant that.

Except you literally just heard of someone not getting DCed upon taking the port. As to the idea that you think we should think of this as a catastrophic problem that needs addressing right this instant and anyone who doesn't think so is a white knight, well the only fix you are likely to get on your time table of right this instant from them is for them to disable the skip entirely.

Honestly this kind of whining for such a non issues is astounding. Before when running SoO you spent more time clearing the raid once than this costs you in 100 runs of the place. So while yes it's a bug and it would be better to be fixed than not you are complaining that you are losing 10 seconds per run after having been saved 20 minutes. I honestly hope Blizzard's response to this reaction you are giving is to remove the skip and never give it back. Man it would make the farm runs take much longer but at least there isn't a bug amiright?

Ive never once experienced this bug so nice statistic you pulled out of your ass there. And telling you to gain some perspective is not defending a bug l2read

No, I didn’t see a single piece of proof of anyone not getting DCd. Anyone can just say anything. Show me proof of you taking port to garrosh and not getting DCd. I’ll wait. Because it happens 100% of the time.

It doesn't, actually. Out of about 20+ uses of the new skip, I've had about 1 instance where it didn't disconnect me. I was shocked that it happened, as I also thought it was a 100% thing. Might just be some kind of fluke or speedy recovery by the server or client in some instances. I'd say the actual rate is somewhere around 98%, though; and I assume that it will disconnect me every time I do it (which is about 3 times a week on 3 different characters).

Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
