    Question "Evergreen" Features

I do enjoy dragonriding, and I think the tradepost was a nice addition.

Are there other ideas that you think would be somewhat easy for blizzard to maintain as one of the 'evergreen' features? Do you think they've done a good job so far?

    Some I can think of
    - expanding the tradepost to include a section for spending Achievement points, making them actually useful other than for bragging rights
    - dynamic weather thats not just cosmetic; what if stranglethorn vale was hit by a hurricane? Could make it harder to fly in, or maybe you can be struck by lightning for flying too high
    - bounty hunters guild; an expanded system focused on the 'wanted' quests around the game. Have the targets scale up in level, maybe tie it to a renown track - would allow more use of old world content without a crazy amount of effort. It could also make the non-elite rares have some use
    - quest hubs with more interactive environment; redridge was filled with Blackrock orcs - what if they destroyed the bridge every so often, and would start a phased world quest for everyone around focused on defending both the lumberjacks and workers who are rebuilding it? Would only need a few of these in New areas to make a big impact on the world feeling more alive
    - colonies; take the islands from island expeditions, put an expanded garrison on it, and give it to guilds to have as a hangout spot. Would be cut off from the world, but you would be able to use this to development advantage by not tying it down to any expansion or part of the universe other than Azeroth itself. Fuether more - what if a guild could choose where the ship landing at their dock went? Or zepplin towers that could take you to other zepplin towers around the world? Maybe you can only select one at a time, but as your guild achieves more - you can get additional routes. Using events from island expeditions, you could have random mobs show up to attack the colony to make it more lively. It would be a great spot to have random unique merchants show up - maybe they sell consumable items normally crafted by players, and rotate on reset? Or tokens for old tiers/reps?

Player housing is obviously number one on the list. Would fit in well with every other system offering up rewards for it.

Personally would like something like Mage tower again. Something that provides a solo challenge, that’s harder than the Brawlers guild.

Yeah, player housing is the most obvious answer

I wouldn't mind see profession bounties for each profession. Kind of like what Darkmoon Faire offers but on a more regular basis. Kind of like daily quests for professions. For example a daily quest for Herbalists would be to gather 15 Kingsblood, 15 Terocone and 15 Marrowroot. Turn those in for some skill points or gold depending on your choice. Do the same for other professions both gathering and crafting.

It would be older materials and crafted items have a purpose.

I like this idea. Makes old mats worth something

That's what I was thinking. Leveling players can make a profit selling low level mats and crafts or use them to for their own bounties. If you want to get the mats yourself (mostly gathering professions) it would make old zones more important.

Of course bounties would have to scale based on the profession level of each character. Wouldn't be fair for a bounty to require mats or crafts from an expansion you can't get to yet. But near max level professions would be able to craft or gather for any level. Bounties would always add to the list of requested items but never decrease. That way you don't always have to craft high level items or farm high level mats to get the benefits.

Mounted combat being the next evolution of dragon riding would be cool. And it would be more than just casting your abilities at 100% move speed.

An annoying thing about WoW for me is having to constantly remount. We should just be able to stay on our mounts at all times outside cities. An expansion where combat is built around the players being on tbe back of our mounts could be fun, like chasing bandits or being chased by a big thing.

Player housing would be grand. Some more replayability stuff that is not tied to gearing, https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wo...t-20/1553250/1
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

Monster hunting - There would be added instances all over the world where we can go fight 1v1 with a known monster enemy creatures and also some new ones - It would be more difficult than typical just killing an elite, something akin to mage tower but not THAT hard, but with some mechanics.

Like let's say one week you have to go to some cave and defeat a hiding pit lord and it would reward you with some currency to exchange for rewards while also having some rarer unique drops if you defeat the boss.

Player housing and guild housing would be cool. I thought of an idea a long time ago on the extreme end of things where one guild can challenge another guild to a capture the flag match with each guild bases on opposite ends with a flag placed in each base. So you can also build your housing with some PvP in mind if you're into that stuff.

Player housing, I imagine a kind of gated community, where guilds can create villages, a shared space where each member can build a home for themselves

Achievement points once again being more relevant (the rewards used to be good in wrath, but have mostly sucked a long time now)

Battle Royale Battleground, 40 man bg, 8x 5 player squads battling each other until the last squad standing
