Should the game remove quest assistance, area maps, and focus more on exploration?

I left retail to go play Classic (2.0) back in 2019, flash forward to 2023 and I returned to retail to find that /2 trade chat is DEAD!!
Is this on everyone's server? I am on Whisperwind and people just dont use it....not even trolls...ZERO.
This is kinda crazy to me lol

Completely dead on my Portuguese server...not only that...IF you decide to talk on it you get flamed for "talking"
Portuguese culture i guess.
In roleplay servers it is always moving and chatting.

Depends if you are on one of the half dozen busy servers or not (at least in the US).

A lot of low pop servers are just left to die, Blizzard refuses to do a proper merge just because they don't want people with the same names having to change. There are very easy solutions for this, but I know the real reason why they don't want to merge (hint: $$$$$)

I came back to find same thing. Idk if they got rid of the old trade chat and replaced it with the services chat or what. I don't ever see anyting but spam for people selling runs.

why would you even ever need a trade chat when the ah works for everything?also last time i logged in trade chat looked like asmongolds stream spaming

What's so crazy about it? The boosters have been moved a separate channel and there is no reason to utilize it as the game allows you to sell anything that can be traded on the AH and to form groups via LFG.

The auction house is pretty much the UI proxy for any form of trading now. That or you're talking to your guildies. I think it's kind of a defunct channel now that's mostly used for spamming boosting, selling AOTC, etc.
I'm on WRA which is a pretty large pop server and no on really uses trade chat like that anymore. Most of the chat I see is in the various zone chats when people are looking for a rare or something.

Well, services have their own chat now.
And trade chat is still kind of spammy with everyone posting their professions, or at least the ~15 people that continuosly spam!? On all of the servers I play on, even the dead ones.
Are you sure you are not talking about general chat? Because that is indeed dead.

Leave dead servers and you will be fine. With the way crafting is psudo required why be on a dead server?
