The heretics who fled to Avaloren were not the same thing as the Earthen SENT to investigate the anamolus fissure who settled Khaz Algar. The two texts in-game are explicit enough these can't be the same group, yet you combined them because Bellular and Pyromancer did in their speculation vids.

Could be Life/Spirit causing the Fleshification. Remember, Life/Spirit is what caused the Giants on Draeneor to evolve into Orcs and their ancestors.
And Elune does have some connection to both Life and Light, somehow.
