"I am definitely an Ex-Blizzard Employee leaking what is definitely true and you can tell because it's fan servicey"
One day I look forward to seeing full grown adults realize that their averse reactions to levity and positive/contemplative expressions of emotion are a cry for therapy.

Look it up on Wowhead, it's kind of obvious what the theme can and can't be now; so Void, Light, Scarlet Crusade, Quel'Thalas, world revamp and things like that are just 100% fake at this point, no matter how cool they sound, sorry.
Not sure how that theme excludes world revamp? It doesn't have to be a cataclysmic event that revamps the world, only that it's been over a decade (also ingame) since Cataclysm, and STUFF SHOULD MOVE FORWARD.

Because it's all the current speculation thrown together, everything the vocal players want. Doesn't mean it's real, doesn't mean it would actually be fun.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

But the only reason why I somewhat believe in this "leak" is due to two things that were said.

This part of the leak holds up because there's been assets that have been found since as far back as BFA that were left unused. So it would make sense that they made a ton of assets in preparation for a revamp in mind.

    The other thing is this,

This quote might not seem like much, but I noticed something was off during the Kalimdor Cup event about those races. The zones in DF were BIG... and I mean BIIIIG areas compared to Classic/Cata's areas. DF's zones are able to house up to six dragonriding races in each zone.. with only Ohn'ahran plains having 5 courses and the waking shore having 8 different courses.

By comparison the zones in the Kalimdor cup can only house up to 1 race per zone.. and even then, not every zone gets their own course. If you compare Old Zones from Vanilla, you'll realize just how small the old world actually is compared to the newer zones.

What I'm implying is that a revamp would actually deal try to figure out something involving the size of the zones to be a bit larger or merging two zones into a bigger zone.
You somewhat believe this "leak" because the person who made it repeated two points that get discussed on this forum and elsewhere constantly?

That's not evidence that the leak might be legitimate, it's evidence that the person reads forum posts. If anything, it's evidence against it being a real leak, because a Blizzard employee is going to have a slightly different perspective and phrase things from an internal mindset, not regurgitate the same thing players do.

    Case in point:

All that to say that we’ve been working our ass off in the last couple of years making this. I see a lot of assets getting leaked and there are MUCH more
This person isn't talking about the more than half a decade of updated assets. They are talking about stuff they saw on wowhead recently; "leaks" from recent asset finds in this specific expansion cycle, hence the idea that they've just been working on it a couple years. Shouldn't an actual dev know that if the updated assets are for a revamp coming in 11.0, they've been working on it for like eight years? Not just the typical 2 years of a regular expansion's pre-announcement development?

NEVER going to happen. They would never just delete the old world like that, they just said in an interview they dont even want to replace the zones like they did with cataclysm since that lost the original content there.

It's good that those are neither things I said ;3

Of course these are fake leaks. What is appreciated is people coming up with something actually fun to imagine.

Very easy to please some people...all they want is war and revamps, constantly complaining about lore but lets ignore how each faction was decimated after the fights with the legion and then each other...who cares if there could only logically be maybe hundreds of warriors or less left! They only care about things making sense when they're offended by them!

Oh and something something woke something something

I'm a big proponent of a revamp. But people are so desperate for a revamp that they'll bite any bait. This leak doesn't make any sense at all. Firstly, it starts with Cataclysm's biggest mistake, which is destroying all the maps.

What made Classic so interesting is the fact that the content seemed to be evergreen. Unlike Cataclysm which was immediately dated after the end of the expansion.

It would be a brutal mistake to make the same mistake and in an even more radical way, denying players access to 90% of the world initially.

There is no chance of this leak being real, and the icing on the cake is this "ex blizzard employee".

My dear teamrevamp comrades, let's be more mature when analyzing these leaks.

The leaker said the old world would still exist via bronze dragon time shifts. Did you even read the post?

    Obvious red flags

    "I'm an ex-blizzard employee"

    "My friend works for Blizzard"

"I don't even care, you guys will see I'm right soon"

No, I don't fully believe in it because of the void aspect. I find it hard to swallow that half a continent (heck the 75% of the planet) gets swallowed up by the void and we have to remove it and purify it while slowly uncovering the land. When we do "uncover this void ridden land" it's gonna look like a dried up wasteland hellscape.. or it'll be just like Eredath (Mac'Aree)

That's not evidence that the leak might be legitimate, it's evidence that the person reads forum posts. When they said, "a couple of years" I thought that the assets were made during BFA in 2018, not two years like usual. There's no way that'd be remotely possible to get every asset done in two years, even with as much money and resources they have under their belt.

It wasn't just the assets, but that all the classic zones are smaller by comparison compared to newer zones in previous expansions like Bastion, Highmountain, Suramar and so on. I already mentioned it, but the Kalimdor Cup pretty much highlighted just how small the zones are if they all have only one race per zone as opposed to DF's zones which have a total of six races per zone including Zaralek Caverns and the Forbidden Reach.

So to re-iterate: I don't believe this leak is legit, but for entirely different reasons.

Khaz Algar could be in Lordaeron

  15. #35
I feel the need to reiterate. I said some zones are seperated by void while others are engulfed in it. The void doesn’t cover all of Azeroth, just some zones. But, being stuck in Lordaeron, cannot access other not voided zones. The zones that have less importance (like Desolace) are the types of zones that are fully voided. When uncovered, they’ll be way different to make them more interesting. Not destroyed, but different. Void doesn’t necessarily destroyed. It changes things.

PS: ‘couple of years’ means more than 2.

I always take random posts from "ex-Blizzard" employees on throwaway accounts with zero post history or providence at face value.

If you indeed are an ex-employee then this is proof that you don't respect the work of your old mates and shouldn't be hired back.
But most likely you're just a random writing a wishlist pretending to be someone you're not...
