Having to redo TWW main campaign, the part where all the races are fighting together against the nerubians I noticed 3 things players can't do:
1. Fighting with tech. Draenei, goblins, and earthen fighting in Mechs. Draenei and Earthen using Vigilants and Golems respectively. Gnomes flying airplanes.
2. Nightborne Chromomancers fighting in melee using swords and time magic.
3. Alleria's void hunter thing and void elf voidsingers.
The transformation of Felblood elves is pretty strikingly different from that of satyrs, especially as the more advanced cases are growing wings. The presence of horns, scales, and the flesh turning red or gray is also common across all varieties of Fel mutation from elves to orcs.
"We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
Agreed. It feels like they're getting teased together, particularly on Siren Isle (where the Song was apparently inspiring new technology), but they're far too different to combine into a single class.
I'm hopeful that this was deliberate setup for both of them (it certainly feels that way to me), and that we'll get both Bard and Tinker throughout the Saga. Which would fit best as Bards in Midnight and Tinkers in TLT given that Tinkers fit far better into a Titan-centric expansion. It'd definitely be ambitious to release classes in two consecutive expansions, but given how they've been treating the Saga as a huge deal, and have been planning further ahead and expanding their team... I wouldn't rule it out entirely.
Maybe we'll get machine singers as part of the tinker class
Whats the opinion on the new Solar&Lunar set. It seems to follow a similar theming to the warden set, with one set being called the moon and one the sun set.
And the moon version of the set looks extremely fitting on night elves

i tried if the sun set looks as fitting on blood elves but i don't think the color works here

teasing a new class? Could fit some astromancer/celestial vibes. That it fits with the warden sets theme could also hint at a class for midnight that is night elf aligned in some way. Or Elune/An'she and Mu'sha aligned?
As I said earlier, I believe Astromancer concept has quite a potential for Midnight. It is a class of elven origin and it could explore cosmic/celestial themes in a new way.
Interesting thing about this the dual nature of Sun and Moon, which could imply existence of Light/Fire spec for Astromancers dedicated to the Sun, which would make sense in a narrative focused on blood elves and Quel'thalas.
Also the set does not really give me any racial coding, tbh. Night elves are about moons and Nightborne about stars, but their racial aestetics looks different and when I saw the set, I did not immediately thought "night elf" only because of lunar features. It looks quite unique and new.
The set isn't the current night elf look of nature perhaps or nightborn current look of suffused arcane, but it feels like what a night elf would have used during the time of Queen Azshara. It wouldn't look out of place next to let's say the ravencrest Black Rook set
I just don't see it. We got solar/lunar themes heavily with balance druid. Then lunar themes with Sentinel hunters and solar themes with herald of the sun paladins.
I also really do not see a need for more Light and/or Fire using specs. Basically every caster except shadow priest uses some kind of fire at this point.
Additionally, the Astromancer's we've seen in game from both blood elves and nightborne are shadow and arcane magic, not lunar or solar magic like balance druids.
If we look at the survey we have celestial lancer and astrologian that kind of fit lunar and solar themes. Besides, balance druid is just one way to see the celestial bodies be used, and we had enough people here who can see a astrologian/astromancer class. And Astrologian/Astromancer would involve the sun in some way too. Be it fire, or light doesn't really matter for that, as we with balance druid they don't to either, but nature and arcane. So the Sun motive could be aligned to nature or arcane instead of fire or light.
If you check out the screenshots, the sets look even cooler:
The moon set in particular has a very Void Knight kind of look to it. It has blades on the shoulders and helm that look almost like tentacles. The mask also gives off similar vibes. Could this be teasing a Void Knight class that is opposite of paladins? Then the sun set would be the one for pallies.
G.R.A.V. Glove in Plunderstorm hmmmmmmm :3
