2024 Election - Trump vs. Harris, important downballot

Last night for me wasn't about deciding on who to vote for. But rather, finding out if I can be confident in who I will be voting for. Will I have to pinch my nose, or will I be proud of my choice.

After the debate, I can say with confidence, I am Team Kamala.

I was concerned that she might do what most candidates do, and try to be a professional while trump is a bully. Instead, she brought the heat! But not only put him to the fire, but did it with maturity and professionalism. Seeing how she handled the former president, I have no doubts she will lead our nation in foreign affairs with dignity, strength, and respect.

But that debate was just straight bias AF. I didn't realize impartiality was THIS deeply ingrained even in more left leaning media.

I appreciate calling Trump on his bs but to keep hammering on him while giving Harris perfect set up questions...it was just a lot.

I understand this debate was more for undecided voters but I really don't think most voters vote around policy more around their "feelings" and just how candidates come off and despite it all I think Trump won the debate based on that. If we're arguing policy, substance Kamala absolutely wiped the floor with Trump but again people respond more to "feelings" and Trump absolutely came off as more "powerful" and I think that means more to voters than people think.

And she actually rattled him a few times, taking him on track. The comment about people leaving his rally's threw him off course pretty hard. I don't think i've seen anyone get under his skin like she did last night. Quite impressive.

This debate was... special. You can actually see the moments where Kamala really gets to Trump. Hitting him in the crowds was definitely a big one. Forget pee tapes, Trump monumentally shit the bed. And he knows it.

He's not quite enough of a hack to pretend Trump won, but he clearly knows what is expected of him by his paymaster. Um, the cameras were focused on both of them splitscreen about 90% of their shared on-camera time. The difference in height could have been anything from eighteen inches to zero. It was a non-factor, unless you're desperate for ways Trump didn't get his giant fat ass handed to him on live TV. It's way up there with "the box is sturdy" when reviewing a video game.

Going to issue a hard disagree that it was blindingly obvious. Without going into the posters history there was nothing to indicate those posts weren't just more of the same from Cult Trump. Sarcasm requires going beyond - which is nearly impossible with how extreme the cult has gotten.

There are very real people who think and post those types and styles of posts on the internet. If that was a new account we'd have ZERO reason to think it wasn't an actual trumper.

I absolutely agree that those posts could have easily been from a cultist (pretty much the whole point, I guess), and that sarcasm on the internet is tough. But I think it was this post that did it for me.

But even after they asked how much more obvious they could make it, people still kept going, which I guess is what I'm getting at more. People struggle to let go of things.

And the material isnt even good. These are weak attacks. My FB feed is now regularly seeing posts by Barasshole about Harris being a "flip flopper", which was a stupid attack on Kerry, but its just weak. "We have nothing on you, but you changed your mind and thats bad!" Isnt a winning hand when Derp Furher cant hold a consistent train of thought.
