Donald Trump wants to keep interest rates high, driving inflation and making things more expensive.

Jay Dee Hamel's supporters booed the lowering of interest rates.

I don't know if Donald, Jay Dee, or any of their supporters actually know what interest rates are or do, because they just seem to want the opposite of whatever happens.

I think at least half of them are just in the constant state of "whatever Democrats do, we say it's bad". I mean, just look at Trump's choice of language. Still speaking as if to children, because he's less informed than most adults.

I don't think so; a toddler would say "mommy why is that man so orange and scary looking?"

I'm more happy with "an idiot's idea of a smart person"

Alright so the Teamsters Union seems to be a fucking mess.

TEAMSTERS RELEASE PRESIDENTIAL ENDORSEMENT POLLING DATA

This is from the Teamsters own Twitter page. They explain their open voting process.

Oof! As you see Harris is getting trounced. Not good.
Funny enough Biden was beating Trump 44% to 36% roughly.
Must add that one article says the polling of phones was done shady by outside source that was looking to "balance" the polling between Harris and Trump. So maybe this poll is not that great.

So Wow! I'm wondering if O'Brien abstained cause it's so pro-Trump. Not likely and I will get to this later. Again banging my head that this union is 2 to 1 for Trump. Go figure.

A few state, local Teamsters have broke and openly endorsed Harris. This is one example.

Here is Fox News, Neil Cavuto interviewing Sean O'Brien I am guessing tonight or yesterday at latest.

WATCH NOW: Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien sits down with Neil Cavuto to discuss in-depth the International Union’s Presidential endorsement process and nationwide member polling.

Please listen to this video. O'Brien is fucking crazy.

O"Brien says couldn't get commitments on the PRO ACT, both sides he says. So 3 Dems did not support pro act Sinema-AZ, Waner-VA and Kelly-AZ with Kelly then saying he would.

This guy mentions National Right to work. Like WTF? This is the Republicans cherry pie. They love this shit. Admittedly the Dems don't attack this, which again FUCK YOU Dems, but there is a worse on this. I do get if he wants some party to fight for this and should be Dems.

He Mentions the Train Strike as a major reason. So Biden did kill the strike but then secretly went and helped the rail workers get concessions on some of their demands. I criticized Biden for this and will just say it was politically stupid for him to not boast or brag about what he did eventually do. I mean this is politics people. O'Brien seemed to forget.

He mentions Democrats always taken for granted of union vote. Hmmm? Democrats maybe you should policy forward, instead of "Shut-up and vote". He then mention Republicans fancy themselves as working party. Come the fuck on O'Brien, the Republicans have been destroying the unions forever. While right on criticizing Dems, idk wtf he is on with Republicans.

O'Brien mention Trucking Deregulation and not specific so I researched and guess what? I believe this happened under Reagan and O'Brien eventually said this was fixed under Biden. Now has the Dems helped Unions past 40 yrs. NO!! But not putting the blame on Republicans intentionally wrecking.

He mentions Biden fixed their Pensions. Okay, I guess this doesn't pass to Harris or Democrats moving forward. Strange since Trump was Prez for 4 years.

In short O'Brien doesn't want to say the name, but is was Republicans who destroyed the worker in America through laws at least. I still won't Dems off the hook by allowing and participating in this, but there is a difference.

So O'Brien then mentions how the union has changed and social issues have driven voting. I will contend that this is the demographic leaning into right wing, culture war that get's driven hard of xenophobia, anti-immigration, stupid DEI and CRT, etc. The reason I'm stressing right wing here is once more these union members are really, really voting against their interest if they vote Republican. As much this all driven by Republican culture war.

Edit. There is an article saying why Harris didn't win poll including some silly polling. I will link later.

So let's take the hypothetical nightmare scenario where Trump wins and Project 2025 becomes a thing. What are these Trump supporting Teamsters going to do when it suddenly becomes acceptable for their respective companies no longer have to adhere to collective bargaining contracts, and we already have Federalist Society judges finding the NLRB to be unconstitutional and pushing for it to be dismantled.

They aren't thinking that far ahead. Trump validates their racism and such and that is the first concern. If DonOld does win and they lose their jobs they will find someone else to blame.

Silly billy, the republicans will blame high taxation and democrat bureaucracy for wages being slashed, jobs being compromised and manufacturing sectors being moved overseas.

If someone tries to bring up how it was some specific set of GOP politicians were the ones that actually caused that to happen, said politicians and their various talking heads will remind their suddenly worried constituency how athletes are being forcibly made to be trans and then are eating Haitian pets from Mexico and how that's the real issue.

Trump told Greg Gutfield that the audience at the debate last week went crazy for him.

Why is that a problem? Well, probably because there wasn't an audience at the debate last week, nor was their one for the debate against Biden.

If Biden had said that, it would get wall to wall coverage on Fox and cited as proof he's in decline.

It's aggravating over how many things he says or does that if Biden had done it the right wing media would be screaming about it nonstop which they give DonOld a pass for.

It's all media. The heads of every single media organization sees dollar signs when it comes to Trump. His lunacy gets clicks...clicks get ad revenue...more revenue means bigger bonuses for the folks in suits. It's a fine example of how this country is run by conglomerates -- when letting a senile felon sex offender get away with everything just so these ultra-wealthy media suits can squeeze a few more dollars out of their advertisers and the American populace should be seen as immoral and unethical...but we passed that line a long long time ago.

Although, once again, it was brave of you to admit you find Donald Trump sexually attractive.
Speaking of the auto industry. Did you know that the enemy of car manufacturing is.....*drum roll*..... nuclear weapons!?!? Of course not, no one is that stupi- oh wait....

Trump Tells Auto Workers Nuclear Weapons Are A Threat To Michigan's Manufacturing Industry

Look, it’s not a left or a right view to say that Donald Trump doesn’t exactly know what the hell he’s talking about. Especially when it comes to the auto industry. He was sort of right however, with this weird non-sequitur during a campaign stop this week in Flint, Michigan: Nukes are a threat to the auto industry.

To be clear, Trump is technically right, because nuclear weapons are a threat to, well, everything, but that’s as far as we’re willing to throw Trump a bone. Speaking to and taking questions from auto workers in Flint, Michigan on September 17, Trump probably should have talked about all kinds of issues affecting the workers and their lives. Instead, he fear mongered about Chinese EVs killing the American auto industry, even going so far as to give a timeline of when the auto industry would die, while blaming EV incentives for the murder. One of his biggest brain farts was when someone asked a question about the threat to manufacturing jobs.

During the rally a man by the name of Isaiah stood and said he’s a third-generation UAW worker who currently works at a Ford plant. After declaring that he was “building trucks here in America!” Trump said “Get ready, you’re going to be doing plenty of it.” He then asked Trump what the former president and convicted felon thought the biggest threat to manufacturing jobs in Michigan and what he would do to eliminate that threat. Without hesitation, Trump spewed his standard word vomit.

“Ok, so I’ll get into another little bit of a long answer. Because when you say major threat, to me we have one really major threat. That’s called nuclear weapons.”

I mean, Trump is right. Nuclear weapons are a threat. However that was in no way a proper response to the question the young man asked. Last time I checked, no countries were threatening Michigan manufacturing centers with nuclear strikes. The hits didn’t stop coming during the town hall.
After that he then went on to say

“We have countries that are hostile to us. They don't have to be. I got along great with Vladimir Putin, President Xi and Kim Jong-un.”
