Are you mental or something? Like, seriously, you can't possibly be this ignorant without some kind of serious issue going on.
Taylor swift throwing a concert in your neck of the woods literally injects hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars into the local economy that simply would not exist if she hadn't. Even if 50% of that money "leaves" along with her in the form of revenue directly collected by her, the rest of it stays there. Every hotel room booked, every restaurant meal eaten, every local attraction visited, every taxi or transit fare paid directly dumps money into the local economy that would not have been there otherwise. Taylor throwing a concert in your town probably dumps a month worth of revenue on most tourism adjacent industries in the area in a weekend.
The idea that you would compare that to the literal pennies that you going to a local dive bar to see a local artist generates by comparison is beyond idiotic.
I have no interest in Taylor Swift, her music, her fans etc before you start accusing me of simping for her...however when she came to Cardiff she brought an increase of around £12 million for local businessess (hotels, air bnb's, shops, restaurants etc). Those people spending that money would never have come here and spent that money if not for the fact that she was playing a concert here.

... except that Swift has a huge draw and fans are traveling hundreds of kilometers for a show. In turn this also means business for the local hospitality industry. I've seen the local economic impact calculated in the billion-dollar range.

Hating on bilionaires is fine, but don't handwave numbers just because you don't like the phenomenon.

wouldnt be suprised if polls tighten after mark robinsons black nazi remark as the previously unsure trump base comes home

You seem to think this is some sort of treachery.
You're sitting in a politics thread, crying about... tourism.

So, to speak on the issue at hand, the lowering interest rate is going to help Harris and the Dems. I expect another half or quarter point in the next go around. Trump's two biggest points in his favor for the economy, are inflation and interest rates. Both are sliding away from him.
