Thing about the debate is when the moderators say they have to go to the next question, the candidates actually stop and move on. They actively try to answer the question asked.

During the Harris/Trump debate, that literally never happened. The moment she brought up his crowd sizes, it never left that point.

I don't think so, I think at the very start Walz came out weak, but after getting down to specifics after being asked about the War in the middle east, more specifically when it related to jobs as Vance blabbered on about non substantiated specifics, Walz cleaned his clock, specifically on the investment in clean energy and agriculture in Minnesota.

Vance was out in the woods talking about climate change being staved off by building factories in the U.S. Vance is spinning Nonsense, he is doing great on Illegal Immigration, but aside from that everything else has been pretty much NICE as compared to Trumps disaster. But as I said I think Vance will be a plus for Trump despite him being a negative or starting out that way.

I also agreed with Vance on Gun violence short of fortifying schools.

I am no issue with men wearing makeup. There is a reason for it. However, for people who bash on transgender people. For people who cross dress, I do have a problem with someone for wearing a makeup.

And now Vance is losing his cool for being called out for not answering a question. Walz was talking about Jan 6th and asked Vance if Trump lost the election, he talked about censorship.

I don't know why Tim Walz, who people saw as hometown and folksy, refused to just turn to Vance and go, "Senator, you're lying" every single time Vance lied every single time he did.

You damn well know someone like Walz, after the mics were off, turned to a friend or his wife and went, "Damn that dude's just a fucking liar." Whoever the fuck on his debate strategy team made him not be combative, which was such an obvious choice, needs to be fired and probably shot into the sun. This should have been a knock out and instead it was a huge floundering mess where Vance got to lie on every answer and Walz barely pushed back on much beyond Jan 6th on them, instead just repeating Harris' stance.

I still think Walz won but goddamn it ended up becoming a debate where one candidate spoke better while the other candidate actually won. And Walz could have done both. Optics matter and the Dems fucked up with optics on this one even if they had the substance on their side. Very confusing when Harris had both and spanked Trump on stage just a few weeks before.
