Idaho state Legislature candidates in Latah County set up a bipartisan forum, a "Meet your candidates" type deal. Incumbent Republican state Senator Dan Foreman, in attendance, was asked if discrimination exists in Idaho and he said "no".

Trish Carter-Goodheart, House candidate and a Native American, apparently pushed back on this gently, leaning on her own experiences with discrimination in the state.

Apparently this triggered Senator Foreman who threw a temper tantrum, swearing and complaining about "liberal bullshit" before storming out like a child and telling Trish Carter-Goodheart she should "go back where she came from" which like literally "no u" because she's actually of native ancestry?

Anyways, it sounds like Republican Senator Foreman has a long history of this, including yelling at students for lobbying for birth control and demanding apologies from constituents who he thinks are rude to him and blames it on the fair the "confrontation" happened at.

She has appeal to the traditional white collar, upper crust GOP and she does not need to appeal to MAGA per se because her father did the legwork for her. The name alone would be enough for MAGA people to reelect another Trump.

I think if she were elected it could potentially unite the GOP, but I can't stand the Trumps or the GOP so hopefully it never happens.

Trump is a loud, obnoxious, aggrieved white male who talks down to women and minorities while spewing hate for immigrants on top of promising to do terrible things to them. He has no connection to "Jews" and he frequently took advantage of minorities and POC for their labor while never paying them a cent for it. He's lost many lawsuits for being openly racist. He talks directly to aggrieved white male conservatives and validates their hatred for anyone who's not white cishet male. He talks a big game and promises radical change. He claims he doesn't take money from politicians or foreign interests like other politicians all while receiving monetary kick backs under the table from those very people.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what Trump does to any of these people, what matters is what he says, and he portrays the typical "strong man" vibe in his speeches.

He's a menace, a terrible human being and corrupt to the core. But that's what conservatives want in their leader. They want someone willing to break the rules to get what they want, all the while talking down to black people saying "If you'd just comply with police you wouldn't get shot!"

He proclaims his opponents as weak and ineffectual, incapable of doing anything correctly while also proclaiming them dangerous and a threat to American freedom because apparently they're actually super strong and capable of doing that when it's convenient to the narrative.

He's the perfect candidate for low education aggrieved white people who still think IQ tests are an accurate representation of someone's intelligence and capabilities.

I agree that those current Republicans that are supporting Harris are doing it for self-serving reasons. The same can be said for the Democratic party with these people temporary supporting them. As long as it doesn't allow Trump to get elected, I don't care if every old school Republican temporary supports Harris and votes for her.

And as evil as Dick is, even he knows just how evil Trump can be if unrestrained and with Project 2025 helping to fast track loyalists into positions and the Supreme Court saying the president is a king so long as he surrounds himself with loyalists who will follow his orders and so he can call it an official act, the next president will be the least legally restrained president in US history.
