I'm not sure you're following the conversation that by now (involving me) has two different subjects. First I came in asking what was Nazi about the rally, and it went on for a bit as I didn't agree with what was labeled nazi or fascist until an example of Stephen Miller was brought up, which was clearly in line with that sort of rhetoric. People said I chose to be wrong when I fundamentally can't be for asking examples. That's not willful ignorance, it's literally asking to be informed as I'd never get through 5 hours of the MSG event. Nor is it when someone labeled something as nazi and I reply "that doesn't fit the criteria for being nazi or fascist," because when finally an example came up of nazi rhetoric, that didn't make the four-five other statements nazi as a result. The second part is about the war in Ukraine and the genocide in Gaza. I've said from the beginning of this part that I know both candidates wouldn't do shit for Gaza, but I still can't deduce a good outcome for Palestine even indirectly if Kamala were to win which is basically the perpetuation of the situation they're living through now, whereas I can deduce a scenario in which it would turn based on statements from several people in the administration, as indirect effects of other interests. And what I'm expecting from the VP in the administration that's paid for over 70% of the cost of Israel's military operations since October 2023 (22.7 billion dollars), is a lot more than that shit blog post, if she wants to convince people she'd stop the genocide. But you guys keep skimming instead of trying to understand what I'm saying and are being fucking obnoxious about it.

Trump tells them that what they believe is valid and that no source is to be believed except the ones that agree with them already. Of course they love him.

Their viewpoints aren't ones formed by seeking out information and changing their mind, their viewpoints come directly from what they feel and they seek validation based on that. See... economics, climate change, pathology... I could go on. They disregard experts on those things because they want to believe specific things are true about them.

A good question to pose to people to see how... "rational..." they are with their beliefs is to ask them "what would you need to hear, and from who, to change your mind?" For people in Trump's camp there is no satisfactory answer because they wont change their mind. Hell, some of them wont even change their mind when Trump tells them things, like when Trump actually started boosting the vaccine back during COVID. He touted the vaccine and they booed him.
