Don't think she broke out in Europe so likely more of an Americas thing.

Unserious, anti-democratic Republicans love wasting court time trying to disenfranchise voters, especially military voters overseas.
Glad this got tossed out for being a waste of time that didn't even get the paperwork right.
Oh look, another ballot drop box was set on fire overnight.
2014 Gamergate: "If you want games without hyper sexualized female characters and representation, then learn to code!"
2023: "What's with all these massively successful games with ugly (realistic) women? How could this have happened?!"
Gonna be important people check their ballots and make sure they were received by the state, if your state does that (not sure if all states do or not, but CA does).
Really hope prosecutors throw the book at these people, regardless of motivation but especially if they're conspiracy theorist fuckwits,

Not just some producer from The Apprentice, but the Chief Marketing Officer of NBC is also piling on with the, "We created the image of Donald Trump because it made us a lot of money but had no clue we were enabling a monster." that Republicans will, of course, ignore and reject despite the cavalcade of people who have worked alongside Donald Trump pleading with people not to vote for him.Several minutes into Donald Trump’s dark Madison Square Garden rally speech on Sunday, the former president fired up his MAGA loyalists with the signature phrase from his NBC reality series The Apprentice. “Next Tuesday, you have to stand up and you have to tell Kamala Harris that you’ve done a terrible job,” Trump declared. “Kamala, you’re fired!” The crowd’s thunderous response was yet another reminder that The Apprentice remains central to Trump’s political appeal.
For former NBC chief marketing officer John Miller, this is a source of deep shame. His department created the advertorial myth of Trump’s business prowess and promoted it to millions of Americans. The truth was that Trump went through multiple bankruptcies despite receiving hundreds of millions of dollars of his father’s money. Miller believes that without The Apprentice, Trump would never have been in a position to run for president. “He didn’t have a real company. It was basically a loose collection of LLCs. They’d been bankrupt four times and twice more when we were filming the show. The Apprentice helped him survive that,” Miller told me. “People thought he would be a good president because I made him seem like a legitimate businessman.”
The specter of a second Trump administration motivated Miller to speak out. He wrote an op-ed for US News and World Report published on October 16, titled “We Created a Monster,” that apologized for his role in turning Trump into a reality TV star. With a week to go before the election, I spoke to Miller about the 14 years he spent working with Trump on The Apprentice, why he thinks Trump is a lying racist, and what he sees as the danger of a second Trump term. The conversation has been lightly edited for clarity.
Who the hell is that guy?
Undocumented immigrants pretty much powered US agriculture, construction, manufacturing, retail and hospitality sectors. If people think the current inflation rate is bad, mass deportation will make the situation 100 times worse.
Hell, the US garment industry will collapse. There are 846 fashion companies headquartered in New York, more than London, Milan, and Paris put together, and many prefer to oversee production directly so that they can closely monitor quality. Currently, immigrant labor makes up about 64 percent of garment and other factory workers in New York City.
That was just stupid. No economy can survive with only skilled workers.
We want to believe that, but the truth is most people aren't affected by things like that until it's about them. I think most people assume anyone running for president has skeletons galore, so these aren't the deal breakers they should be. When you attack a group directly, especially a proud group like Puerto Ricans, that changes things....right or wrong.

I find it amusing that Polymarket is betting on Kamala Harris to win the popular vote and the presidency, with Harris holding a 58.2% implied probability.

Should be front page news everywhere, Trump's top economic advisor/surrogate wants to cause a recession/depression on purpose.
Remember .... back in 2016 and 2020 how the press made a big deal when Hillary/Biden just chatted with Larry Summers. Didnt even promiss him a cabinet spot or mutiples.
Bernie-to-Trump posters on this very fourm were screaming "neolibrul betrayal!" Kinda weird they're so silent about Trump putting An-CAP Elom in charge.
Just kidding, not weird when you realize "hate democratic party" is their only real position.
Government Affiliated Snark
The west view of immigration is very shortsighted. It is highly couched in nationalism. They should look toward Singapore for an example. Not a perfect system, but 100x better than the current systems in the west.
Growth in foreign employment in 2023 mostly in jobs Singaporeans don't want: MOM
There was a net increase of 64,800 holders of work permits and other work passes in sectors such as construction last year.
Foreign workers in Singapore complement the local workforce to grow the economy and add diversity to its skillsets. As at December 2023, over 1.5 million foreigners were working in Singapore.
While this represents about 40% of Singapore’s total workforce, there are stringent restrictions placed on foreigners who want to come to Singapore for work.
If you include the migrant workers, the number jumps to 60%.
There are no quota restrictions or foreign worker levies for Employment Pass (EP) holders in Singapore. Workers holding an EP tend to be more highly skilled foreign professionals, managers and executives.
Instead of applying a quota on the number of EPs a business can employ or charging a levy, the government controls the quality of such employees by setting a qualifying salary – set at the top one-third of local PMET salaries.
Smart policy.
Last year, employment in Singapore grew by 88,400, with 83,500 of those jobs going to non-residents.
Foreigners taking jobs from Singaporeans!!!
My bad. Simply out of curiosity, what are Singapore unemployment numbers.Of the 83,500 new jobs that went to non-residents in 2023, the bulk was due to an increase in the number of work permit and other work pass holders in sectors such as construction. That made up 64,800, or more than 77 per cent of the employment growth.
"These are not typically the type of jobs that Singaporeans want to do."
The rest of the increase in non-resident employment - around 18,700 - was for Employment Pass (EP) and S Pass holders, which are for higher-skilled workers.
For June 2024, the unemployment rate of Singaporeans was 2.8%.
For the full year of 2023, the overall unemployment rate was 1.9%.
The rate for Singaporeans was 2.9% in 2023.

Personally, I think that's something worth emulating.
Remember, when they talk about "markets tumbling" and there being an "economic storm" we'll have to get through, this is the equivalent of rich people with heavy bunkers and the ability to just fuck off to another country for a while being willing to torch the lives of basically everyone else to end up with a more-profitable world (for them) in the aftermath.
That or they're just white supremacists who want to use the chaos as an excuse to kill off minority populations.
Neither of these positions make any sense, but they're rooted in the idea that they, personally won't be the ones facing this "storm", themselves. They're in a nice sheltered spot where they can sip hot chocolate as the storm rages, and laugh at the little people's corpses being washed away in the flash flooding below. They're ghouls. Literal supervillain plots presented as if they were reasonable theories for economic growth.
