I'm calling bullshit. Anyone who's not coming in with preconceived notions can suss it out without too much difficulty. The main difficulty lies in overcoming a "trusted" source for political information that may be lying to or misleading you. If you're spending only half an hour every 4 years, it's because you don't already have a trusted source, and so the first thing you'd look up is what source is most unbiased.

Entirely possible, but I still feel that whoever only spends said time on politics is likely to look for a quick and simple answer, not the most unbiased one.

People are allowed to vote, or not vote at all, on whatever basis they want to vote. The moment you start impinging on that, you're no longer in a democracy with human rights. Your task is to win the argument and convince people to turn out.

There are huge parallels between this election, Brexit, and Boris Johnson's win. Look where they are now, Johnson didn't even last his one term with a landslide. You need to stop catastrophising, lecturing people, telling everyone they're idiots, and calling people fascists "because its technically correct" when they'd take it in exactly the same way a kid born out of wedlock would take being called a bastard "because its technically correct". And Britain didn't become overrun with them beyond the usual idiot fringe.

They were treated nicely, they were given a spot at the table. They were talked to like they were adults and understood what was at stake. They had policy laid out for them and explained to them like they were intelligent individuals and not talked down to.

If after all of that they still voted for Trump who promised them the moon and fed them sweet lies which any 4th grader knew was too good to be true, of course we're going to call them bastards and fascists, because they rejected a spot at the grown up's table for idiocy and ruin.

If you take a look at Trump's cabinet it's literally a bunch of pedophiles and business owners who are going to stuff their pockets with government money for the next 4 years and leave the middle class to pick up the tab when it's all over.

There's a predicted crash coming in 2026 or sooner and they're not going to get any sympathy from me when they're standing in bread lines because they chose this.

The point was that we were suggesting that even people who don't normally pay attention should spend a minimum of time legitimately finding out. Anyone who looks just for the quick and simple answer isn't doing that. They also wouldn't likely care enough to spend that half an hour in the first place.
