All money does is allow for more advertising. However, all the advertising in the world won't make Donald Trump any likeable. Hell, the most it will do anymore is pay for his legal bills as they are growing faster than his donations.

At least for him, it wouldn't matter. I mean, he wouldn't normally be able to run as he would hit the Constitutional limit for Presidential terms.

However, I know that he would absolutely suspend the Constitution or try to anyway and keep himself in power. There have been 4 successful assassinations of Presidents and many more attempts on quite a few others. I figure someone would absolutely try it on him if he were to do this.

No he didn't. He CLAIMED he did, but he has NEVER posted an FEC filing yet. He hasn't posted an FEC filing for that dinner he claimed he made 50 million after Biden made and proved he made 25 million. He lied about his websites going down because of donations, he lied about making 400 million from it. Literally nothing Trump has said has been true.

And even if he did… remind me, if you will, of how many legal fees he’s currently ballparked at owing?

Let's see, What? 90 something million to E. Jean Carroll, and as of this writing, 478 million to New York for his fraud case.

So even if he out-raised Biden as claimed... Which, of course, Trump's claims about money are worth less than, well, the money Trump doesn't have... he'd still be in the negative because of all the various court cases he's lost. First and foremost the one for defaming someone he sexually assaulted and second for the illegal hush money payments he made to a porn star with whom he cheated on his wife, let alone paying lawyers for the other outstanding trials still awaiting him.

So Trump raised more money than Biden (supposedly) to still have... less money than Biden.

What do you make of that, @Somewhatconcerned ?

any comment about money raised that is not an FEC filing is useless
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

What do you make of that, @Somewhatconcerned ?
'Member when Trump and his fanboi here bragged about making $53 mILlioN in donations right after those 34 convictions...?

    Pepperidge remembers and wonders outloud...

Trump math include this $50 million from one economic elite?

Timothy Mellon, a reclusive heir to a Gilded Age fortune, donated $50 million to a super PAC supporting Donald J. Trump the day after the former president was convicted of 34 felonies, according to new federal filings, an enormous gift that is among the largest single disclosed contributions ever.

The donation’s impact on the 2024 race is expected to be felt almost immediately. Within days of the contribution, the pro-Trump super PAC, Make America Great Again Inc., said in a memo that it would begin reserving $100 million in advertising through Labor Day.

The group had only $34.5 million on hand at the end of April, and Mr. Mellon’s contribution accounted for much of the nearly $70 million that the super PAC raised in May. On Wednesday and Thursday, the super PAC began reserving $30 million in ads to air in Georgia and Pennsylvania around the Fourth of July holiday.

Mr. Mellon is now the first donor to give $100 million in disclosed federal contributions in this year’s election. He was already the single largest contributor to super PACs supporting both Mr. Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is running as an independent. Mr. Mellon has previously given $25 million to both.

Oh my, looks like our shitty voltron has redefined "populism" to mean "propped up wealth and racist fuckeheads. Propbably popular with very-online wealthy-aspiring-but-still-bigoted-people.

Whether you inherited billions... or just inherited millions from your boomer parents in california. It's the same old greievances.
[PC]: You know what turns people into irresponsible social parasites? Billions of dollars of inherited wealth Welfare, and lax immigration policies that let lazy Mexicans steal all the jobs:

Mellon’s self-published autobiography describes his political views.[14][15] Mellon called social safety net programs “Slavery Redux,” adding: “For delivering their votes in the Federal Elections, they are awarded with yet more and more freebies: food stamps, cell phones, WIC payments, Obamacare, and on, and on, and on. The largess is funded by the hardworking folks, fewer and fewer in number, who are too honest or too proud to allow themselves to sink into this morass.” Mellon wrote that as of 1984 (Reagan’s re-election campaign), “Something had obviously gone dreadfully wrong with the Great Society and the Liberal onslaught. Poor people had become no less poor. Black people, in spite of heroic efforts by the ‘Establishment’ to right the wrongs of the past, became even more belligerent and unwilling to pitch in to improve their own situations,” and that “Drugs rose to the level of epidemic. Single parent families became more and more prevalent. The likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton pandered endlessly to fan the flames.”[14]

In August 2021, Mellon donated $53.1 million in stock to the State of Texas to pay for construction of walls along the US–Mexico border.[16]

A glimpse into Timothy Mellon’s skills in handling the 31% of the world’s money that belongs to his family:

In 1999, Mellon purchased the Goodspeed Airport in East Haddam, Connecticut for $2.33 million. He sold it to New England Airport Associates, LLC in November 2020 for $891,000.

He moved from Connecticut to Wyoming in 2005, which is a pretty good metaphor for what’s happened to the old WASP oligarchy in this country.
Of course, wealthy aspiring shitty voltron types are very mad they cannot also fuck off to Jackson Hole. They still blame mexicans, not the 1% that bought up the joint. They have to settle for the million dollar dump they inherited near Tahoe, still stuck in blue california.

Wealthy investors greatest superpower is their ability to play the entire field. It doesn't matter if 90% of their bets go bust and they lose money hand over fist, as long as 5% break even and one or two are hugely successful they can make a killing and talk up their visionary genius and how they knew the company was a real diamond in the rough. (if you ask them about how successful their other investments were they will refuse to answer and call you a jealous hater)

The party that keeps talking about Joe's cognitive state continues to back a guy that just makes up demonstrable falsehoods off the cuff for literally no reason.

I eagerly await to hear how Donald's campaign explains this miraculous act of time travel. Maybe they'll claim she wrote in his name in a prior election.

Anyways, the Republican party continues to back a mentally ill, delusional, angry old man.

I think this specifically is an example more of “Trump says whatever ‘positive’ sounding thing about himself that he wants knowing that no one will call him on it, and if anyone eventually does no one that listens to him will care”

So not necessarily a sign of dementia or what have you. Just a sign of him being a vain and rotten habitual liars
