Given how Calvin Ridley's market went, its clear he'll re-sign with Jax.

He had a provision in his trade last year that if Jax extended him before the new year started, they;d have to give up a 2nd rounder and if they didn't they'd have to give up a 3rd. And with him waiting and waiting and waiting, it seems clear he is just helping Jax and his own interests by waiting till that provision clears and then signing.

Steelers trading away Diontae Johnson is probably smart. Wilson won't ever see him on the field anyway.

Ramczyk's contract got re-worked, he had the biggest cap hit.

Waiting to see what the Chargers do today, they just graduated to biggest cap problem, but there are many ways to fix it depending what they decide to do.

Renfrow about to get cut, wonder if the Saints still want him.

Yeah, funny how guys change their mind when they get offered 23M APY and 50M guaranteed. xD

Titans clearly made him a top priority and were comfortable with shelling out beyond market value for Ridley. That's cool for him, but this is exactly what I didn't want the Patriots to do so, this is all fine by me. At that point I'd rather have a draft pick come in and be the guy.

    - - - Updated - - -

Niners are apparently including Deebo Samuel in trade talks/packages. Would LOVE for the Patriots to make a good offer for Deebo, and sign him to an extension for like 2 actual years and some money in the 3rd year with a 4 year total length to spread the bonuses. He'd be early 30s then, and he;d have a chance for one more contract and the Patriots would have the option to move on at that point. Perfect for both sides.

And most importantly a much better WR than Ridley for what amounts to a similar price point.

We signed Curtis Samuel from Washington, 3 years, $24m up to $30m.....$15m guaranteed. A lot for an inside slot WR. He can't (he better not be) our answer to WR2. If this slows us down in picking a true outside WR in round 1 of the draft, I'm gonna not be happy. Brandon Beane can't be happy with Diggs, Samuel, Shakir with Kincaid/Knox as TEs as our pass-catching corps.

The Saints signed a QB and WR that shouldn’t be on the roster of any serious team. I expect to see UDFAs with more talent than Nathan Peterman or Cedrick Wilson.

I figured the Chargers had to eventually tear down this offense but I did not expect that reckoning to be this offseason.

Vikings got another 1st round pick from the Texans. Seems like they are positioning themselves to trade up for McCarthy if they need to.

Pickett to the Eagles. They really have no one to bench Wilson for when he spins himself into too many sacks now.

Steelers fans already calling for them to trade for Justin Fields.

Because that makes any sense whatsoever.

"NOTE: “preferred” is not bc Kenny Pickett is running away from competition. He was explicitly told by the #Steelers Wilson would start, reneging on the pledge he’d been given that after two years of chaos, he’d finally be put in position to succeed - per sources apprised of convo"

And of course most of the media is trying to spin it like this is Pickett's doing. Steelers got no one to blame but themselves if what Grube says happens.

Yeah Steelers have themselves to blame when this season goes Broncos-grade sideways. The latest team thinking they're "just a QB away" to get destroyed by bringing in Wilson.

At least they can get out from it next season for $0 unlike the Broncos.

Really hard to see how the Bengals got better.

Geno Stone is meh, but bound to be better than the atrocious play we saw @ Safety this year.

Mike Gesecki to the Bengals is MIami all over again for him. When do we actually use TEs?

DJ Reader is a huge loss that can't be understated. Reaching for Murphy/Sweat round 1 I see.

This is why it makes sense to me. They got virtually nothing out of the QB position last year, even washed up Russ is better than what they had, and cheaper. If it doesn't work, no big deal, sticking with what they had wasn't working either. Try something else next year.

Don't think I celebrated a retirement more than I did today.

LT Tyron Smith signed with the Jets. This can only mean that Rodgers will come back and look amazing for like 5 snaps and then Tyron Smith tears his everything and Rodgers will be running for his life the rest of the year.

Cause the Jets can't have nice things.
