I haven't been on a little while and saw the blue post. Is it true preservation isn't being taken due to range issues lately? I know the tindral/fyrakk fight can be an issue but i didn't think it made too much of a difference. Just curious how raiding is going for the rest of the dragon healers.

I wouldn't doubt it. I think most Evokers are being funneled into Augmentation, and other people are using other healers that don't have the range limitation because the perception is that it's harder to use.

Yeah, it’s true — range issues on some encounters like Tindral and Fyrakk have definitely made Preservation feel clunkier lately. It’s still viable, but some groups are leaning more on other specs for consistency. Curious to hear how others are handling it too.

Preservation's issue is that it relies on players to be grouped up, as almost every healing spell is aoe, which is not really a thing in content like M+, for example, people just spread to avoid mechanics, which means pres functions in a subpar way everyhwere players don't stay grouped up.

I never invite preservation to my M+ groups, tbh, it's just a liability.

Is the range limitation even necessary? Would you be okay with a smaller cone for breath if you got 40 yards range? I would like a (green) highlight effect on targets for when casting that helps aiming.
