He has a bad problem with talking as if he is speaking facts when he is only giving an opinion and also enjoys talking down to people

I used the word objectively because those sets are objectively less elaborated than other Heritage Armor sets. That's a fact, whether you like it or not, Sherlock.

Draenei set does look kinda wonky. I much would have preferred one that is based off what we see in cinematics and art like this: https://www.reddit.com/media?url=htt...fb8a2431c40fee

The troll set? Looks amazing I love it. Very old school RTS style troll outfit, almost looks like a Shadow Hunter hero from warcraft 3. The cloth on the helm has been a common thing among trolls from back then.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H3-N9zoI5c Amazing video of 60+ devilsaurs raiding Undercity!

My God, what a horrible creation. People seeing what they want? Thank God they tried to shy away from that. I know it pisses me off when I'm in an heroic raid, yet in the back of my head all I can think is 'some casual player is playing a heroic dungeon and not wiping.' -Vodkarn

I wish the Draenei set looked like that...

I think it could be upgraded. Like the smaller shoulderpad could get some paint work, to make it look less basic, the belt could be less plain, to have a eye sockets and make it look like mini tiki mask.

But the most iffy thing is the mask. Cloth should go under the nose, not above it. And it's upsetting to me, becuase Mask is the most important piece of the attire, and the other old-school voodoo masks are from vanilla nad they look dated. Other masks are Zandalari, or blood troll.

They should remove the cloth and make it a regular but HD wooden mask.

No that is your opinion. Therefore it is not objectively. Nothing you said is a fact.

Im pretty disappointed with one main thing on the draenei set. Horn clipping on the helmet... I 100% get most helms needing to have the horns clip through them. Blizzard clearly shouldn't make a custom model for every helm just for draenei(and tauren) but I think the heritage set should be an exception. The model for the helm just shouldn't cover where their horns go. I know that would limit the design a bit but this is armor just for them and it deserves the extra work in this case i think.

These are both insanely terrible, by far the worst work they've done, these were definitely just throwaway sets.

Heritage armor should be unique and iconic. These sets look generic and dull. Like green drops from BC.

That draenei one is pretty clearly Justicar's, the old TBC pally set, which, honestly, isn't going to work for every class and would be why they skipped it. Helmet aside, I do think this was the better choice, basing it off the artwork

Though its funny that it works better taken apart than it does as an all-together set

Would you like to guess how old the concept art for the draenei set is?

The concept art is great, but the delivery to theset wasn't executed well imo. Like the ankle wrappers are completely different, the shoulderpads are bright while the gems on chest and feet are dark, The headpiece could have a holes for horns or could be a diadem/headband.

For trolls the headpiece clips to female chest. the belt clips to male legs, and is wrong as all other depctions in art if trolls wose a headcloth it was always under the nose. And the set could use some extra defining features. It's serviceable but it could've been improved upon to give a true wow factor.

Blood Elves: As you pointed you're being shown the devastation that Arthas had wrought to the Blood Elves, you're walking through history across an accursed land and it is the very reason what makes a Blood Elf a "blood elf" and not a "high elf" while facing off against spiritual constructs of foes.

Tauren: You're name is being uttered by tormented spirits and you have to set balance to it. All the while chieftains of the past are guiding you along to see what the disturbance is, which ends up leading to this epic moment where Thunderbluff is being swelling with spirits that it gets intense. Once the spirits are all gone, you eventually see the spirits of Cairne Bloodhoof in a touching reunion with Baine.

Orc: Through years of hardship that they suffer, they decide to form a large celebration in which all clans come together as one where you go through trials and bring a new age for orcs. Receiving blessings of the hunt, the earth, and your ancestors.

Forsaken: Still persecuted by the Scarlet Crusade thinking they're vulnerable without Sylvanas, but prove themselves to be just as formidable in a new age under Calia and Lilian Voss. You repel them out of Fenris Isle and hopefully establish some peace in hopes of rebuilding. (Loyalists get an extra quest where they meet up with Sylvanas one last time, not because of her decisions in BFA but that the Forsaken wouldn't exist without her [controversial I know but it is something])

Goblins: You reunite with your old buddies from Kezan and head back to what's left of the island, now turned into Crapopolis. With Hobart working some special armor that is immune to almost everything. It's as if you're back on Kezan collecting debt, and convincing the other Trade Princes about this armor... that is until Gallywix comes in with his pirates and takes over the city until you put a stop to him using the armor that Hobart built. Gallywix is defeated but the armor is now just decorative so you keep it for appearances.

Goblin is not the best of the rest of them, but even then all these questlines pack a lot of attention to detail and length that only long time fans of those races can recognize and appreciate, while the Alliance get squat that barely reflects anything about the races, except for maybe Humans considering how big a role the Defias Brotherhood has on Stormwind's history.
Still busy on my horde alts. But sound more thoughtful on what the races are. and the armors are more....special .

Still think the blood elf 1 is "funny" . whole story about big bad arthas ( who is mind controlled by the jailor) and his undead slaves. And being sad he hurt them.
Just for the blood elves to join a willing sylvannas and her free undead to kill all the night elves.....

Now for the subject, I also support the notion that we should always strive for best quality, and I find the people who dismiss constructive critcism as a matter of "hate" to be super disengenous.
i am assuming nothing. Just saying its the most silly story writing WoW had in a while. Kinda makes blood elves look weak as a species.

but how constructive criticism is written sometimes, it can be percieved as hate. Or visa versa. Just saying you think there are 2 much emotions in a response is being super disengenous.

Hell i do not use the word hate...i say i dislike. and give small reasons for it. otherwise my response would be to long to read. The only one using the word hate is you!
i give response like: that kind of armor we already have.< or > the zone is unfinnished etc

I wasn't talking directly about you when I said someone dismissed constructive criticism as "hate". But you'll find such a people in this thread to derail it and pretend everything is fine.

The draenei one is perfect, it's exactly what I was hoping for

Only thing I'd change is have the robe slightly longer, but aside from that it's a good set, and the potential for combining with other sets is nice as well

Both Draenei and Trolls have loads of racial sets already available, if you don't like these you still have other sets

  17. #217
I know that even if I do the questline, I likely won't be wearing any of the Draenei heritage set. Its absolutely disgusting compared to the other racial armor sets--which says a lot for me, because I am not the type for running down X-Mogs.

My goodness. The physics were added to troll mask and now it really resembles elephants trunk, and male troll's tusk aren't helping. It cannot go live like that!
The absolute bare minimum is to release the nose, but there should be 2 sperate head items:

    Rusk'kah and bandana.

That's irrelevant, the manual draenei armor looked fine, this cobbled together garbage doesn't, it's pathetically bad.
