Draenei set is clearly inspired by Glenn Rane's original piece of draenei concept art for BC with some added white / gold / purple elements:
As armor that needs to encapsulate all that a race exemplifies, it's pretty damn good IMO. It works as well for a shaman as it would a priest or paladin. There's also not exactly any lack of draenei-themed transmogs.
The troll heritage armor is pretty much exactly what I expected, a shadow hunter / witch doctor.
If there were one change I'd suggest it'd be to have the cloth mask drape below the nose instead of over it. That's how they did it in the old concept art and illustrations:
The backpiece is a fetish based on the Darkspear crest, the Icon of Shadows, which isn't my favorite design, but they already have other options on the Trading Post:
From the icons it looks like both sets will be available in multiple colors.
Draenei one looks trash, but the troll one was almost ok, it needed more work. They clearly were going with the "zappy boy" vibes and a classic shadow hunter model, but i expected way more for a heritage
Exactly, just like Zul'jin:
I would say it is baffling that they don't get this reference, but at this point is just path of the course

Looking at those pics, I think the back piece for the troll set could use more skulls/pointy bits.
The troll one is exactly what I thought it would be, minus the weird cloth mask. I like the draenei one too. We have enough paladin-esque crystal sets. We definitely didn't need another
The red tint looks better, but they definitely need to adjust the mask to drape under the nose.
The draenei set also has helmet options without the mask:
I like the Draenei heritage armor because it pays homage to some of the earliest key art for them way back pre-TBC, before the aesthetic became crystalline plate everywhere. The troll one seems rather lackluster, though; I don't so much mind the helm even if it is odd but the ensemble itself feels like a mix-and-match of various generic troll aesthetics and doesn't have a strong unifying theme.
"We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
Right? I was thinking of that too. I kinda like the scrappy, cobbled together look. Using all sorts of different materials and the like. I actually dig the whole look. The only part I'm really iffy about is the helmet. The shape is a bit off? Could use some tweaking, but otherwise I approve.
The troll armor looks fine to me? It's just a Shadow Hunter from WC3. Classic look, no problems here.
I like the Draenei one.
Having slept on it, I'm growing to like the draenei set though I'm still not huge on it. I think the crystal in the center of the chest is a bit awkward, and it would be nice if the set on the female draenei looked more like the art but overall, its decent. And I like the blue recolor.
The troll heritage armour looks great and the Draenei one looks fine. That said most of the heritage armour sets are just fine and you rarely see them being worn as transmogs.
I think the troll's is perfect, except some clipping on the bandana for the femtrolls.
The draenei one is ... I don't know. I wanted it to harken back to their initial concept art (which it does!) but ... not like this.
First and foremost, the helm is horrid. The "skirt" needs to be longer. It's also maybe too "chunky"?
Dunno. It needs help.
I like them both, take a look at one of the other colors on draenei + female model. Male draenei look like garbage in just about everything. Female looks good and their default "circlet" actually matches the set perfectly. They've both got the right flavor for their respective races imo.

Yea im liking the style of the draenei one, but feels kinda "flat" or something when compared to some of the newer armor models we're getting. Add that cloak/coat thing from the concept art posted here and gimme some flashy dangly bits.
Its datamined and early so theres still hope i guess.
I'ts not just safe, it's 40% safe.
I like the troll one, minus the mask but i dont use helmets anyway.
Now we wait for beards.
