If only the Draenei's heritage armor looked as epic as that concept art...

Aside from the mask, the loincloth on the male troll needs to be wider. Otherwise it's a solid set.

The DESIGN is terrible, not the textures. Nobody talked about textures here, squire. The design does not look epic at all, it looks quite generic. If you had told me that those pieces were part of a Warlords of Draenor's questing set, I'd have believed you.

I feel like there may be something fucky with the way the Troll helm is being rendered atm. If it goes live looking like a beak I'd be pretty concerned but I think they were going for a cloth mask look and the datamined model is stiffer than it will be in game.

The draenei set also has helmet options without the mask:

I think the set without the mask is even worse.

That is is very very subjective.

And you're not being objective in trying to spur discussion, you're clearly just trying to push your own agenda rather than actually discuss this.

Sarcasm doesn't translate well through text especially without underlying context or subtext.
Also again, elts move to extremes, in this ad-hominem because the person doesn't share your opinions.

You think those sets are acceptable; fair enough. I don't. The effort they put on those designs is clearly minimum compared to other heritage armor sets they've created in the past. I'm not pushing anything, I just believe they could improve those sets and make them more epic and unique. If you disagree, again, fair enough.

You don't need to be Einstein to realise that I was being sarcastic when I talked about April Fool's Day. Where did I use an ad-hominem fallacy? Quote it, please.

The draenei helmet does look a bit weird seeing from the front, kind of like an egg-shaped head, but it looks fine from the sides and from the back, imo. Perhaps they could reduce the sharp angle at the top? I dunno. I rarely have my characters displaying their helmets anyways, especially when it covers their faces.

You can't just say something should be "epic and unique" and offer absolutely no tangible criticism. You’re saying "I don't like this, they should make something I like." What do you like? What do you want?

About the draenei one, the shoulders kill the look. The good thing is that we can simply hide them. I could say the same about gloves/bracers. It seems to me that they are trying to mix together two dranei themes and i don't think it's working all that well.

But what bothers me most is the fact that they design an armor for a race that has always had clipping issues with one element of their anatomy (the tail) but they made zero effort to deal with it. I'm not saying that they cut a hole for the tail, but at least have it in mind, not pretending that it doesn't exist. The same for the horns and the helmet.

I'm talking about design. I can't be bothered to explain, piece by piece, what I'd improve. The whole set looks disappointing, starting with the chest piece, the "skirt", the helmet, and so on.

Regarding me purportedly calling him autistic, I must say that your skin is too thin, I'm afraid. I was being sarcastic (again) because it amazes me that someone could understand that sentence literally. It just made me laugh. There's no ad-hominem there.

Yea, I think if you remove a couple pieces, you get pretty darn close. The cloth piece could have been longer to match it better. Overral not super interesting, I would have liked a velen like armor more, but this is kinda on point what the drenaei are imo.

Shame, they never gave a second color from older herritage armor. Nightborne had a red/gold recolor which sadly was never released.

You don't seem to know what the word "design" means. If you can't critique any specific thing, your input is not valuable. Here, I'll help you get started: others in this thread have rightly pointed out that the Draenei tail seems to clip right through the back. That's something specific that can be improved! Do you have any other specific notes that would add some value to this thread?

Do you think "I was being sarcastic" is like, a get out of jail free card? Do you know what an ad hominem is?

I think you're the only one who is struggling to understand the meaning of "design". The way that set's been designed is underwhelming. Those pieces look generic as hell. Should I explain it to you using colourful drawings?

I perfectly know what ad hominem is, and no, my answer to that fella was not an ad hominem fallacy. He took my sentence literally and I answered him with sarcasm. Since your first post you seem to struggle a lot to understand several basic things. Why's that?

Yes, honestly, some colorful drawings would be more useful than the big spoonful of nothing you've provided so far. I literally gave you an example of a specific criticism that could help make your point, did that just not register in your brain?

Ah yes, sarcasm, famously the act of speaking in a specific tone to convey a jokey nature.
If you are gunna complain about people not getting sarcasm in TEXT FORMAT add /s.
Seriously, sarcasm is not a thing in text format.
You can't convey tone or emotion in text, so maybe you should be self reflecting?

Calling someone autistic and then making fun of them for such is not sarcasm, you have no understanding of what sarcasm is..

When you type "sarcasm" we are going to have 1 of 2 assumptions
    1- he's being sarcastic
    2- he's an idiot.

2 is far more likely for many reasons
    1. You are discussing on a wow forum
    2. You didn't mark your text with /s
    3. You think ad hominem is sarcasm.

Look I am Scottish Canadian, I love my banter, idgaf you called me autistic, as if that's supposed to be an insult or something anyways?

But your misuse of "sarcasm" and deniel of your weird tangent is just hilarious.

again with the thinly veiled attacks, insinutating people struggle despite you being the one in the wrong.

By including the link that states autistic people have difficulty interpreting spoken sarcasm directly after you questioned his understanding of sarcasm, is adhominem as you are basically accusing him of being able to understand your argument through the way of a veiled attack against their person, by suggesting they have autism.

despite the fact that you conflate spoken with written it's an asinine point to make anyway.

You can say it was obviouisly sarcastic, people not understanding the sarcasm in your post is the fault of you and your ability to convey in a the written format. not theirs.

as said sarcasm in written text depends alot more on context and subtext, and sometimes depsite this it is still very hard to convey sarcasm in way that everyone who does not share your exact sentiments will not get.

this is your failing, nobody elses.
