NORMAL people can tell the difference between fake and real animated and real pixels and real. Catering to someone's mental illness doesn't help them it actually impacts them in a negative way.
if someone is scared of a horror movie, they should seek professional help.

Also funny you say "normal people" when normal people are scared of fake things.

People watch horror movies to be scared. your argument makes zero sense here.

And they don’t play video games (other than horror games) to get scared either. Which is why they added the arachnophobia mode

if you need to remove spiders form the game then you need to seek professional help because there is something seriously wrong because humans can tell the difference between fake and real and if you cant then you need to seek professional help.

I will also note that nobody complained in WoD when they introduced a game feature which directly addressed Agoraphobia

there was another one hidden to the north in Maldraxxus. huge amount of spiders just chilling, hanging from the ceiling.
Yep. Won't make me turn on Arachnophobia Mode, though. It is part of the atmosphere of the game. Irrational fear or not.

It's nice they made a toggle for it as I can imagine people with immense arachnophobia just couldn't visit certain areas in the game.

I can somewhat relate, I've had emetophobia (fear of vomiting) for over 30 years and used to easily get triggered by it, even in video games. I also have a friend who cannot do a certain quest involving going deep in the ocean as the thought of it freaks him out.

Having options like this one they've implemented in-game to help relieve anxiety for some people is never a bad thing imo.
