    WW changes in War Within

I just went through some notes. They removed Serenity and making Chi Wave a passive? They have removed a lot of other redundant abilities, which falls into the rework category(primarily a lot of passives). It also looks like WW going to be the spec with highest movement speed.

Are you kidding me. This is amazing news.

    Anyone else hyped?

Yea. I think I'm gonna pick up WW as my 2nd main along with my Balance druid going into TWW.

I've always like the WW Monk class, but with all the button bloat and managing CDs and other buffs it put me off for a few xpacs. But now after watching and reading the revamp for WW I can't wait! Everyone who has played it said it's the best it's been and with the reduction of button and complexity I'm really excited.

Personally, I love it. Especially if they get rid of some of the abilities like Expel Harm and Serenity. I was afraid we would lose some of the iconic abilities like the statue but they managed to keep it there, just improved it a bit. Rework sounds great.

I just hope they improve hero talents. Shado-Pan is very underwhelming atm.

I like how they reduced the bloat, and made abilities like expel harm, chi wave and white tiger statue passive.

Just wish they would push the changes before the pre patch LOL

    Hi,

I don't have access to the beta and im very curious.

If you have tested the WW spec, can you please answer these:

    Factors:
1.Pruning(pruned or not compared to DF)
2.Gameplay flow(clunky or smooth compared to DF).
    3.Potential skillcap(low or high ceiling).
4.Anything else you want to mention?

The Chi Burst change looks interesting. It's a proc now?
Has the damage/healing of it been buffed enough to actually make it worth using? I recall they buffed it by, like, 100% earlier on in tww alpha but that didn't seem like very much considering its weak yo begin with.

I absolutely love the massive button pruning that took place.

Unfortunately it's not an option for me for solo casual PVP because WW seems to be the most kitable melee spec in the game, kitable even by hunters, and hunters can't kite shit now.

No idea why WW is so kitable and Warrior is not kitable at all even though it has more burst and more survivability than Monk. Looks like a joke by the devs. LOL.

New Talent: Crashing Momentum – Targets you Roll through are snared by 40% for 5 seconds.
I hope to see my fellow Monk teammates rolling through enemy players chasing our flag carrier.

New Talent: Jade Walk – While out of combat, your movement speed is increased by 15%.
    Neat

New Talent: Lighter Than Air – Roll causes you to become lighter than air, allowing you to double jump to dash forward a short distance once within 5 seconds.
Oh wow, this sounds cool. You get to be like those wire-fu Wuxia/Xianxia martial artists who are air walking? Maybe I should resub a week before MoP remix ends/TWW early access start to level up my monk.

    New Talent: Rushing Reflexes
Oh wow Monks are going to be able to lunge really far in battlegrounds. Roll + double jump rush + autocharge to nearest target. That will be a sight to see. I wonder if you could do some sort of combo, like death gripping an enemy player into the path of your monk flag carrier so your FC has a target to charge to so he gets to your base faster.

New Talent: Transcendence: Linked Spirits – Transcendence now tethers your spirit onto an ally for 1 hour. Use Transcendence: Transfer to teleport to your ally's location.
Oh wow, so Monk can mark their flag carrier and then leave him to go impede the incoming enemy team or even go help kill the enemy FC, and be able to instantly teleport back to the FC if he needs help. Or a monk guarding the FC can mark a friendly player is going out to kill the enemy FC, defend our FC for a time, and when our team reaches the EFC, teleport straight to the EFC and help kill him. Sounds cool

Flying Serpent Kick no longer deals damage.
    Aww

So uh, that big WW rework doesn't seem to be going so well

At least in previous expansions yall were really good/op in the first tier, but now even that seems to be gone

That's awesome to hear! The changes sound really promising, especially making Chi Wave a passive and boosting WW's movement speed. It's great to see redundant abilities being streamlined. Definitely hyped for these updates!
