Anyone using GeForce now?
I notice that they've just launched WoW over on it.
Does anyone know how that works with things like addons?

More important, does it mean you still need to buy the expac or a subscription?

I tried it on the free version. It runs smoothly on my laptop.
You have to log into your battle.net account so you need to have bought the game/expac and have an active subscription to play DF.
There is no add on button on the character screen so there are no add ons available. Which makes it an option on the side but will never be my main way to play it.
The few add ons I use give too much QoL to play without them.
I would assume the game works 100% like it does on normal desktop. GeForce Now is the way cloud gaming should work; you use your existing library but just use nVidia machines to run it instead of your own, not like Google Stadia where you have to buy games twice.
I still don't understand why some publishers doesn't want their games running on GeForce Now, because they won't get a cut of the subscription. Do these publishers get a cut of each GeForce or AMD graphics card sold? Because it's no different.
They said they will support addons but not at launch.
Yep no addons make it an obvious non-starter.
They need to support addons exactly the same as the normal game for it to be usable. No "selection of curated addons" or whatever.
Tried running it for Remix with my Phone but I kept getting an error that it can't connect to EU West :/
