As others said, leveling alts to 70. I made an alt for each class and got 'em to 70. Also, did the war campaign and Isle of Thunder campaign to unlock the class armor/weapon arsenal recolors, which you technically only need to do on one alt, then can buy 'em on others, but it was a waste of bronze. By the time I had 2 classes left to level, I had bought all the mounts, toys and almost all the armor sets.

The hardest transmog you'll be farming is the weapons and their recolors. Each raid has a recolor of the raid weapons; one for each difficulty. The non-raid weapons/shields each have a recolor per zone, and there are a ton of the weapons to collect. If you're lucky, you get some while doing quests but the best farming method is to go after the rares. Rares always drop an item, although unfortunately it's sometimes an armor piece.

If one's only goal is to just grind as much bronze as possible to be able to buy as much as possible, almost everything in that quoted post isn't relevant. None of that other stuff is necessary unless you want to move into heroic or mythic raids to farm bones for Tusks (or want the titles/achievements). Some of it, like spending bronze on tinkers and gems while leveling, I'd say is actively bad advice.

Just level alts, doing the dailies which are fast, and buy transmog on them. It goes fast, and the dailies take very little time at this point - almost none if you're a spec that doesn't have a queue either. I leveled my prot paladin to 70 entirely just by doing the three dailies each day, and a few other queueable bronze things for caches. The gear you're wearing while leveling doesn't even really matter at this point because in 90% of LFG queues, you're going to end up with some dude carrying his alt or his friend that can solo the entire dungeon in 1 minute anyway. (which I don't think is particularly fun but you can't argue its not incredibly fast)

You get a ton of bronze while leveling, you get a ton of bronze from the daily queues, and you get 40k in free bronze just for hitting particular level markers on every single alt you level.

For what its worth, I think some of the sets you can purchase include items that you can't get otherwise. For example, I read that the Throne of Thunder LFR tier for druids is missing a piece (feet, I think) on live as the only item that gives the appearance is a BoE epic drop which doesn't drop in LFR there. So the only way to actually get it is to buy the set appearance in Remix.

You have a good point otherwise, though it does require waiting until that's available (which can be annoying) and also still somewhat RNG dependent on it dropping.

Depends how much bronze you need to buy the mogs and mounts you want? I've levelled three characters up to 70, obtained about 150k+ bronze in the process, upgraded nothing, no raids beyond LFR, no dungeons, no scenarios, and got all the mogs and mounts I want, with bronze to spare.

  5. #25
Well they increased bronze from caches by 100% so thats great for me.

And as for the things you can still get on live I don't have much time for old stuff so I rather buy the sets for bronze than farm old zones and raids.

seems like a good thread to ask this question. of the transmogs on vendor in remix.. are there any that are not farmable on live? NOT counting class vendor.

Yes, check the spreadsheet that is linked above in the thread. There are a bunch of sets also on the World Apparel vendor in addition to the class ensembles and arsenals. Anything in italics on that sheet you cannot get on live.

much appreciated - going to focus on those, should I end up with some extra bronze after all.

Do also keep in mine that even on the sets you can get on live, the remix ones are available to all in that armor class rather than being class specific. So after those, if there's any tier sets you absolutely adore enough to use on other classes (eg the Druid's Haunted Forest set on a Demon Hunter), those are worth picking up too. That said, all the raid and dungeon sets are farmable in remix, so you don't actually have to buy at all if you end up playing the right armor classes so you can get the set via drops instead.

It's a shame Blizzard gave in to the "I want the stuff now!" crowd of people who don't actually want to play the game.

Everyone who believed Blizz when they said they aren’t going to buff bronze acquisition should not choose their own investments.

Even doubling bronze acquisition, it's still a lot of time investment, especially if you want to do the content that requires upgrading gear for titles/achievements/bones.

But also who cares? This is just a stupid, silly mode to timewaste before the expansion. This is exactly the kind of trivial content that Blizzard should err on the side of making it appealing to everyone, even people who maybe only have a few hours a week to play. Being pissy about this is just petty.

    - someone who farmed almost everything before the bronze buff

Some items on the ensemble are hidden exclusives, because they are not class locked liked the retail one or for some other reasons like chest only versions of robes being only obtainable through ensembles. Anyway I maxed out my main and do dailies on alts with the new buff it goes fast.

Maybe I’m misremembering it; but could have sworn there was an early post where they stated there is no intention of buffing acquisition as the mode continues.

They never said that, they only ever said they would not adjust the upgrade cost of pandaria gear.
They have buffed bronze drop rates already prior to this.
gunna be snarky don't be deadass wrong as well, make sure you're right.

This mode is a grindfest and a mistake, it feels worse than vanilla in regards to grinding and it feels like a corean mmo.

I love retail in DF becausse it respects my time, pandaria remix does not, and it's worse because it's a limited time event.

    corean?
such a buzzword you don't even know how to spell it correct.
Yeah its a grindfest, thats kinda the point?
"Worse then vanilla grinding" far from it, as you can do anything you want to get bronze, and if you actually farm you can finish in just a couple weeks.

Like id suggest just parking a few normal toons at the Sha of anger and kill him daily until the mount drops and move to the next while the event is still active. Don't waste the bronze.

I'd also skip the insanity of upgrading gear if you don't care about the two titles from killing all heroic raids and mythic garrosh and just want the cosmetics. Pug MSV when you can after level 25 daily because you'll get extra exp gained levels on your cape for every boss you kill, making it far faster to get to 70. Rinse and repeat with a new character to get the bronze from leveling again and just keep doing that. It's a bit mind numbing but it's not too bad.

If you want the titles too though, you'll have to upgrade your gear.
I personally would recommend for people to buy the rare drop mounts. Bronze is easy enough to get, even for someone like me who plays for a bit over 1hr most nights.

Well only buy them if you have leftover bronze at end, during event just log on alts who are logged off there and kill him for the high chance every day.
