Do not spend any bronze on cosmetics until he is fully maxxed out. During levelling, do not spend your bronze upgrading gear, instead buy the tinker/meta/cogwheel gems, and then but prismatic gems to jack up your crit/haste/mastery. For example, if you play Frost DK then you can attain 90% crit rate where your killing machine is always proccing so you are pressing Obliterate nonstop, which means you aee always capped on runic power and can maintain infinite Breath of Sindragosa too.
At level 70, go do every dungeon and scenario on heroic difficulty to get your rings and trinkets, then go use group finder to do all five MoP raids on normal difficulty to get your necklace.
Then every day, you just do your daily routine: kill all world bosses for legendary threads to power up your cloak (from Shrine fly to Sha of Anger, fly to Oondasta, use Meteor Chip to get off of Isle of Giants back to mainland and mount back up, fly north of Timeless Isle and airdrop in on Ordos, fall down and kill Celestial, meteor chip back to mainland, fly to Galleon, then go kill Nalak). Most of your power comes from your gear, but once you are at max ilevel the only way to continue powering up is by getting threads, which add up over time. Accept the three daily quests at shrine. Do your daily normal dungeon, heroic dungeon, normal scenario, and heroic scenario. Try to queue as tank or healer if you can for instant pop, especially if you are max geared as you can just solo the instance in a couple minutes. Then you just do the five heroic raids, or at least as much of them as you can per day. The first heroic three raids take a total of 30 minutes to do so you should always do them every day. If you are willing to spend another hour and a half then you can do heroic ToT and heroic SoO for more bronze. You can actually farn SoO each day on all four difficulties (LFR, nornal, heroic, and mythic) but heroic gives you the most bronze for the least amount of time invested so only do that one rather than go insane. If you cannot join a group then make your own group. Get at least 3 or 4 players with 430+ ilevel to carry the group, once you have them then you can fill with whatever and just go. You do not need healers or tank specs in MoP remix as people have so much HP and leech and self healing via lifestorm, and with 430+ geared people bosses die before you really need to worry about anything.
Do this routine every day and spend all of your bronze on gearing up. Once maxxed gear then you spend the bronze you earn on cosmetics. The reason why you gear up first is that so you can do your daily routine faster (speedrunning dungeons in 2 minutes, burning down heroic bosses faster) and so that you can get into heroic raids faster. Note that you won't begin to feel the payoff of upgrading your gear until you are nearly maxxed, then you become exponentially more powerful.
Also, people who were playing from the beginning and focused on gearing up are finishing up buying everything they wanted and aren't playing anymore, which means the pool of players to carry people who neglected their gear to buy cosmetics is becoming smaller, which means it takes those players longer to farm bronze, even if you are just levelling alts through dungeons as instead of a max geared player clearing in 2 minutes you instead have to spend 15 doing it the old fashioned way. You need a LOT of bronze to buy everything, which means a lot of farming and you want to farm as fast as possible because this time adds up. This is why you need to gear up yourself. Unless you have a very small shopping list, then the longer you wait then the harder it is going to be.
