People who talk about "wow 2" are just detached from reality on so many levels.

And the funny thing is, if blizz DID do a "wow 2" (which will never happen), no matter what form it took, those same people that advocated for it would just complain about it and not play it still lmao.

its just so insanely reductive and ignorant. "i dont like the current wow, so just remake it but better". Completely useless feedback with nothing remotely actionable

"But, but muh achievements and items" Let me break it to you...honestly, it means nothing, nobody cares about achievements in wow besides the guy doing them thinking it has some sort of value, and Blizz laughing they spent 6 months paying a sub to get it.
"I don't care about this so if anybody cares about the thing I don't care about they're just wrong."

This kind of arrogant, solipistic, anti-intellectual entitlement is probably the #1 reason discourse about how to improve WoW feels hopelessly futile. People like this are so far up their own asses that the very idea of somebody disagreeing with them feels like a personal affront.

I hate it here sometimes. I really do.

It's up there with the universal definition of fun in a video game.

"I just want WoW to be fun again. And if I'm having fun then everybody will be having fun! And since I'm so smart and awesome and cool and have all the best ideas, I should be president of Blizzard so I can make the best MMO ever and WoW will have 25 gorbillion subscribers 2 minutes after I get elected."

It's the unironic "and everybody clapped" of WoW discourse.

    - they are updating graphics and engine constantly
    - new tech doesnt mean "better built MMO"
    - there is no need to fix what aint broken
    - you might not care about it but many people do, on the other hand they dont care about your opinion
    - ofc the collected things and achievments have value, like literaly all collection related hobbies, they might not have price but they DEFINITELY have value, you being too far your own ass to understand value is completely subjective doesnt change reality...

"wow2" will not happen as long as wow is popular, simply bcs there is NO DAMN REASON...
like literaly, none, all the engine/graphics/system changes could be done in wow, unless you want to go for completely different photorealistic engine to which i can only say HELL NO

Another funny point about him saying they have no value. I literally sold my account in 2015 (hard times) and because I had so many special mounts, xmogs and what not that weren't available anymore I got just over $1,000 for my account. So if that's not value idk what is lmao.

Note: I am not advocating selling your account it is against the TOS I am merely bringing it up to prove a point

??? The conversion rate of different currencies to USD is not a sub price increase.
I am canadian, and I have watched it slowly raise from 15$ to 22$ why?

Cause the canadian dollar is worth 72 american cents.

Based on that the game should be free to play. Or the game should be on gamepass including all DLCs.

Probably i would play the game if it was free to play. I am not willing to pay blizzard anything for their current design philosophy.

With that logic the rest of the MMO market should pay us for playing.

I wouldn't call that logic. It's just entitlement.
