Bronze Bullion to spend - why did other hunters put on completely different trinkets?

Hi everyone, hope can I ask a few questions about my gear here. Or is this the wrong channel?

I'm still sitting here on 6 Antique Bronze Bullion and can't decide what to spend them on.
I allready have the Manic Grieftorch in my bag, but I'm getting on better with the Witherbark's Branch.
According to raidbots sim, only the cloak would be an upgrade (with dungeon slice), otherwise everything would be worse.
Now my problem is that i don't understand why all the top mythic plus players put on other trinkets and also, for example, the diurnas ring.

Am I missing something?
Maybe someone can help me shortly before the end of the addon?

When in doubt, sim it.
Then decide if the possible change in playstyle is worth the dps.

I'm running Augury + Call to dominance because I don't want to rely on people having trinkets to boost mine or dying.

I wondered the same thing. From what I understand the stats are great, and the bonus damage/shield is better than nothing, which is what the other rings give. Right now it only has one trigger (head enchantment) but that will change in prepatch

You need to sim everything to be sure. Unless you like playing around Witherbark’s Branch, and play it perfectly, there are equal/better things to use.
The rings proc off of both the helm enchant, as well as Completely Safe Rockets. They’re both good to use.
Ominous Chromatic Essence, with all buffs up from other raid/party members, is a very strong choice.
Sark cloak is very good.
Other than that, I have no idea what gear and ilvl you’re using, and you really need to sim yourself to see what’s best.
If you truly have no upgrades, or even care at this point due to next xpac in about 2 months, you can start buying tmog pieces with them.

my 489 branch got outsimmed by 510 ilvls whispering icon, grieftorch, ominous essence, pips and ashes. i dropped it a while ago. i see some using it but that vast majority ditch it.

First of all, are you simming the trinkets at the max item level?

Branch will probably outsim everything but it is unlikely to actually outperform Ashes in reality, since you will rarely get a 30 second perfectly executed branch done at the optimal time. Ashes you can just macro into Call of the Wild and forget about and it will be used optimally every time (and the cooldowns line up).

Your second trinket in keys, I'd go with Controlled Technique for the same reason: you don't have to think about it and you'll get full use of it almost always.

If you play with people who die a lot, the value of Grieftorch goes up quickly.

I have now decided on the Ashes Trinket and Controlled Technique and I think that I am doing quite well with it.
