I don't like implementation of those warband currency are not automatically available as total number of your all characters.
Transferring gold manually between characters is just little annoying thing. Why not global gold ( or other warband currency )?

You can have that once the warbank is active again, you can put all your gold in there

I am pretty certain they tried to to that in the first place but came across technical difficulties.

And from game design view since they insist on giving penalty for transferring some of the currencies they needed the UI anyhow.

Account wide gold wouldn't work cause you can be on multiple characters at the same time, so you could abuse the mechanics to for example buy something at the same time on multiple charecters. What does the game do then?

Reason why its a bank that you have to put stuff into then take stuff out is so that stuff can be snapshotted and saved. Instead of "oh hey, dude just tried to buy 5, 10,000,000 gold items at once with only 10,000,000 gold, oh and he still got all 5 items.

I don’t think that you were able to do that before, so unless something fundamentally changed in the way we log in, this isn’t possible.

It's a database, it has transactions. Like all transactions they are processed sequentially, so the second char would get an error.
But as I said, this might be one of the technical difficulties they did encounter when trying to make it work.

I wish currency transfer is one step in right direction.
Most (not all of them) currencies should be in warband bank. So you can pour all of it to your bank. Gold, medals, flightstones, crests, anima, orderhall resources, war resources, SL ones, doublons from IE, Timewarped Badges, Timeless Coins, Apexis Crystals - all should be in warband bank.
But some of them - PvP ones as example or proff ones.

I think he meant you aren't able to log in with multiple characters per account at the same time? Otherwise you could multibox with single account.

This is indeed what I meant to say, you cannot be logged in on multiple characters at once (at least not in a purposeful way, sometimes things bug out.)

Most likely technical issue. Blizzard still can't store any "dynamic" data at B.net account. Dynamic data is still stored on specific servers.

that wouldnt work... the moment one buys it the gold is gone.

if it was for some reason an issue they can make it so only one char can access the pool at a time the way they do with pets.

You were never allowed to log on to multiple characters at once on the same account
