How would Vanilla and Cata work if we're locked out of going to Stormwind\ORG? Seems like it has to be anything but Vanilla to ensure lock outs. Though I guess they could just phase everything, but that might be more work than just locking folks to an Island.

Legion is best because every class you level is slightly different experience especially if you do the long class quest chains

Where is the Option: "None" in the poll?.
I hope that Blizzard is never doing this again.

It's not that complex technically - you don't need "phased zone" because players locked in remix and outside do not interact. You can simply have two completely different unconnected zones. And they already have resources in Classic-edition for that.
Garrison Mission Manager: Select best followers for BfA, Legion and WoD missions.
Instance Spec: Switch to spec suitable for your role when "dungeon ready" pops up.

    Legion please. Loved Legion.

The legendary weapon should be the item you load as like the cloak.

WoD would be awesome. There are some much content there. So much collecting.
    But if without garrison.

WoD had the best storytelling in questing in Shadowmoonvalley. It probably would be second, even if they tried to remove flying those days.

I mean realistically WoD got the fundementals down just all the PVE players who wanted to do something other than raidlog were left behind
so...basicaly...what we got was awsome in wod,the problem was that there wasnt enough of it,and all they would have to do is not add that ''nothing'' lol,in a remix wod would feel much better because everything is just open at once, and remix doesnt last that long anyways

personaly i loved wod and was just left feeling ''is that it?'' and wile the overarching main plot was dumb AF,the moment to moment and small quests were top tier

if they do wod classic i just hope they add m+ and maybe better use for apex,on a faster release it should end up feeling just fine, the lego ring was also baller

I can't see a Vanilla remix, a not insignificant amount of the appeal of Remix is smashing through leveling content. Vanilla questing is not built for that. If you're going to waste dev time making the grindiest iteration of WoW a leveling blitz, why not use that to add content to WoD that had to be cut because Garrisons sucked up all the resources. A WoD remix with new content + Dragonflight World PvE sounds great.

I would prefer WoD personally. Mostly due to being the expansion that I played the least but also because it has a lot of potential if all the time gating and mindless mission table farming would be removed. As a short lived expansion, which is the concept of Remix, it could outshine the original WoD easily.

They could replace the Garrison with a Infinite outpost, with already existing Inn, Bank, Bronze salvage yard ect. Replace NPCs in your Garrison by infinite dragons and turn off mission tables entirely. Let us just start at the Garrison skipping the introduction quest.

One major feature I would wish for the next Remix though is to being able to 'restart' your characters in remix, without having to delete them, similar to the season feature of Diablo.

I was thinking that this morning actually. Maybe let you opt to convert characters under a certain level to Timerunner for the rest of the event. You talk to an NPC who offers to send you to the Timerunning Event but you're warned you will not be able to leave until the event ends and certain restrictions will be on the character. You then get teleported to the Timerunning Event.

I think just having people make new chars was Blizzard's way of getting around technical challenges as well as trying to be fair across the board though.

I suppose Shadowlands just because it's the expansion I'm missing the most mounts from.

I think if they do WOD, and doing one remix per expansion cycle during a lull period makes a lot of sense, it should be shorter because it just felt like there was a lot less to do there. I would still do it since there was a lot of good transmog I missed out on by skipping WOD basically entirely.

Warlords is the obvious one but Legion is the one I care most about.

A version of Shadowlands that isn't bogged down by the weight of Anima could also unironically be really fun, and there's already a surfeit of extra abilities they could reuse from the Covenants and Torghast.

I also think it would be cool if they were open to doing a little bit more with the wraparound story. I am not opposed to using Remix to alter the past in subtle or overt ways.

Imagine actually creating a multi-expansion arc within Remix that includes new quests and extra raid encounters. Like, just spitballing, the player gets used by the nathrezim (or even plays the role of a secret double agent) and we see how they manipulated the events of Legion, with a storyline involving the nathrezim successfully transforming Argus into the new Arbiter and changing the events of Shadowlands to play out in Denathrius's favor.
