In Warcraft 3, the Nerubians are shown to have spider-faces, with two large mandibles, multiple black eyes and no human features.
In WotLK, we see them again and the looks got carried over, spiders that have a torso and two arms with 2 large fingers. We also see viziers that are casters but these too, look alien with no human-like features as you can see here:

This remained consistent for all the Nerubians until now, where we're introduced to Nerubians that are clearly of the vizier type but have very human-like faces, a very abrupt departure from their original forms.
What's more is that they essentially take in the void and instead of becoming more monstrous, they gain noses and even more human features. Which completely changes their race, essentially.
This all seems to be because the 'writers' needed them to look more human as it's easier to animate and to immerse one-self into an expressive human, rather than a weird spider. So they have now turned the alien, hive-like Nerubians into what appears to be just another bland hereditary kingdom, complete with poverty and beggars which in my opinion ruins them and makes them uninteresting. Just more bland soup.
The point is, it is a valid question why we first got two human-like Nerubians and then just departed from that entirely to give us a even far blander race.
If nobody has their immersion ruined by abrupt and illogical choices like this, then I must be nobody. Maybe the fault is mine for expecting some respect for consistency.
