20-Person Raiding in Molten Core

Hello!

Thank you for the feedback and interest in variable size raiding in Season of Discovery. The bug that allowed more than 20 players access to individual instances of Molten Core at launch resulted in unintended design and technical consequences and needed to be fixed.

We’re pleased with how this system is playing out in the Onyxia, Kazzak, and Azuregos encounters and are excited to find ways to continue incorporating this system into more raids in future phases of Season of Discovery.

10 man. Not 20. Or flex, would be even better.

So my theory:

When Phase 5 comes out, Molten Core will go to bi-weekly lockouts and will go 20 man tuned but will take 40.

ZG and AQ20 will become a 10man raid on a bi-weekly lockout when they come out.

When AQ comes out, BWL goes to bi-weekly and goes to 20 tuning but scales up to 40.

Also, 20 man is fine.

My SoD Story: after pugging ST the last two lockouts before Phase 4 and leveling to 60, I joined a pug Strat on my paladin, i joked "I'll ask in my guild for a DPS... oh wait I don't have one" and the leader sent me a guild invite, took it cause they had a cool name. I'm in their second raid team, cleared H2 tonight and looking forward to Heat 3 MC next week. The guild's main team almost cleared Heat 3 last week and will likely clear it this week.

So yeah. 20 man raiding is fine. Be social once in a while it won't hurt.
