All the quests that used to drop 600+ gold only drop 100+ now. Is it the Blizzard way of slowing down farmers?

1) Nice Alt
2) They do this every time a new expansion comes out
We're all newbs, some are just more newbier than others.
Just a burned out hardcore raider turned casual.
I'm tired. So very tired. Can I just lay my head on your lap and fall asleep?

3 Major Rules of World of Warcraft Players:
1. No one on earth wants to play World of Warcraft less than other World of Warcraft players.
2. The desire to win>The desire for anything else in World of Warcraft. NO EXCEPTIONS
3. Efficiency will be king no matter how you think it will improve the game.
Blizzard only wants people doing the latest expansion content.
Weird considering even early access is like 9 days away and there's not much to do other than the pre-launch event which is pretty much dead for most of the day at this point. But they fucked up twice this season and rolled us back to season 3 (breaking the gear upgrader in the process) so wouldn't surprise me if they just screwed up but won't bother changing it back at this point.
Wish they'd nerf Anima costs in Shadowlands... just burned through 250k buying up mogs off Kyrians alone, using up my life's anima savings.

Old content is always gold nerfed when new content comes out. Lessons learned from WoD.
Not sure if this goes on live, but the dragon, I mean skyriding world quests give only 160 gold in The War Within zones, while its 500+ on live, Dragonflight.
Might be just an oversight. Its just beta afterall!!

Mostly World of Warcraft stuff
Ahh, that’s interesting.
I’m all for it. Inflation is a problem in WoW. Some people just went around on multiple alts and did the races for raw gold. Better to give those players a way to make money off other players by selling items/services without adding currency to the economy. I would remove the gold rewards entirely and replace with rare tradeskill mats or consumables useful in group content if I was a WoW designer.
I say that as someone who is disgustingly rich (in Azeroth, anyway) so YMMV.
I was only talking about those particularly lucrative WQs, not saying they should remove all gold rewards so people have to scrounge to pay for repairs and all commerce moves to barter. That would be a huge overcompensation.
Blizzard does love to overcompensate, though, that’s for sure.
why is inflation in wow a problem? its not like there are competing currencies. Its not like we need to worry about the value of wow gold vs ff14 gil(?) causing gdp problems. Wow doesn't have interest rates on purchases or on gold in your bank. All it does is slowly devalue people who sit on large amounts of gold from older expacs so new people attempting to make gold aren't locked out of making expensive purchases. WoW also doesn't have gold salaries causing people to be left behind as prices climb.
Either people do things to make gold or they don't. Doing current things(for the most part) makes the most consistent gold. I know old xmog farming and AH flipping is a thing. But the idea of an item on a vendor being 100g when it used to be 5 back in wotlk doesn't matter or hurt anyone that is currently playing the game.
Inflation is a problem because it makes goods very expensive, same as in the real world. If you’re a long-time player like me who profited from gold mission rewards for years, you have 20 million gold in the bank. How is a new player ever going to catch up? So the auction house prices are so high that Blizzard increased raw gold rewards, which of course increased the amount of gold in the economy even more, exacerbating the situation. I see this as a step back, which is a very good thing.
They still need to figure out a way to get gold from rich bastards like myself out of the economy. The “gold colored stuff” vendor is a good start, but I just got the mount— not good enough. I love the idea of limited-time unique mounts, and have suggested it myself on multiple occasions. The mistake here was making it BoP. That means each player can only buy one mount per account, ever. Instead make them bind on use, so rich guys buy multiples to pop in the bank and sell to other players later at a profit. This removes a lot of gold from the economy and the rich guys think they’re the winners. And they are, eventually. Also need to say “this mount will never, ever, be available after February 14th 2025 from any source” or whatever to make investors feel safe.

The unfortunate part is that repair costs are still high on level 70.
