They're fictional beings just like the Drak'thyr. I'm sure Blizzard would just present the females in a slimmer form and having mammary. Ethereal are the race I don't think can be done well that the community asks for.

Not the most appealing look :

I think Ethereals should have an assortment of decorations as compensation for their lack of facial customizations: like the Brokers, they could have masks with specific emotions, or adorned in like egyptian jewelry or something.

Yeah, that's one way to pull off in a really cool way. We'll see if they ever introduce them.

See, that's not bad looking for a girl Jinyu!

I think the Mogu are a good compromise between Jinyu and Hozen. Plus, they have females.

Mogu would be pretty cool. They need a counterpart though, I really wouldn't want them to be neutral, they seem more like a Horde race.

I thought so, too. But, i couldn't find them a counterpart.
They are like the Pandaren, who are more of an Alliance race, to be honest.

Yeah, should have been Pandaren Alliance/Mogu Horde. I guess they could do Mogu Horde and Jinyu Alliance.

Cool idea, but I'd rather see Japan interpreted as a different location all together from Pandaria - perhaps close by, but not ontop of it. Perhaps a splinter sect of elves, or humans could be used, or a new race altogether!

It would feel weird to have pandas represent the Japanese as well.

    Jinyu's counterpart is the Hozen.

    How come?

And, it's not about the Pandaren, it's about the Mogu.
It just uses Pandaria as the setting.

He thinks a video game should abide by real-life moral standards.

Like the rest here who think chinese and japanese cultures shouldn't intermingle, even though Pandaria does it by itself, with many japanese cultural influences.

It shouldn't though, Thrall shouldn't allow it, it makes absolutely no sense and was put in to give an edgy backstory to Varian.

I think they can explore japanese themes by adding japanese areas, instead of replacing the existing chinese areas by painting them japanese, it just strikes me as a little inappropriate to fuse them together, because it equates them as the same people group. I'd be down for a continent/island chain near pandaria, there are some fun ideas here, but I just think the idea of setting it in pandaria is a flawed idea.

The Horde practiced slavery long before Varian and still does, as there's been no indication of it being abolished.

Simply because you're afraid to offend the chinese?
What about all the japanese cultural influences in Pandaria? Isn't it offensive to the japanese?

I just don't see the point of pulling yet another landmass out of thin air when we've got a perfectly good set for several asiatic influences.

I think it'd offend the chinese and japanese, and just be an unfair to equate them as the same, and decide "its an asian culture, we'll lump it into Pandaria".

Who said it'd equate them as the same? They'd just share the same landmass. You're clearly ignoring all the Japanese themes being used in Chinese MoP. What, was that not offensive?

Listen, Pandaria is meant to represent asia. Yes, mainly china. But, other cultures as well. It has japanese, mongolian, cambodian, tibetan and other influences. What, would you say Blizzard confused them with the chinese? Pandaria was never meant to be just chinese. Since japan drew a lot of inspiration from the chinese, it makes for a perfect setting to a japanese expansion.

Crimson Ring being an -illegal- group definitely means slavery isn't legal.
