Why is Alleria so useless? (Spoilers)

Wasn't she supposed to be a key to defeat Xalatath? All she's done so far is lose and run away, with her biggest accomplishment being hitting Xal in her brooch, something literally any other marksman could have done.

She is a face of this expansion and to my understanding was supposed to be crucial to defeat Xalatath, but so far she is just a cute doll for our dagger lady to mock. Why her supposed mastery over the void isn't playing any role in the story so far?

It has. She's the only one that can sense where Xal is. No one would even figure out she's in the priory if it wasn't for Alleria.

Xal'atath was also overconfident because Alleria has missed her so many times, she didn't expect her to shoot at the Dark Heart instead.

It's just a classic trope. You have a very powerful villain that is taunting a "chosen one" who keep failing and at the end when the chosen one has learned to use her powers will she rise to the occasion and defeat the villan.

So Xal'atath has been defeated a week and a half into the expansion? Shit, that was pretty easy, thought i would have to do a raid or something. I guess she did leave in that cutscene, no way shes comming back later.
    I'ts not just safe, it's 40% safe.

The expansion came out a week ago. We haven't even had the first content patch yet. Wouldn't be much of a story left if the hyped-up main villain of hte story was already taken out, now would it. Let the story play out, maybe?

She was the only one that could sense the Black Blood and it was a Void arrow that damaged the Dark Heart. We can't even imagine the power contained inside the Dark Heart right now.

Defeated? Not even, just stopped for now.

Because she is a Windrunner, but ultimately she will turn things around so that her journey to beating the person, who wiped the floor with her effortlessly, seems genuine.

Thats what im saying, we're barely 2 resets into the expansion, being mad that "Alleria wasnt crucial in defeating Xal'atath" is a stupid thing to say at this point, she hasnt even had time to do much of anything yet. She could fucking body the entire black empire solo in the next patch, we dont know. Theres a lot story left to come, especially considering its a 3 expansion arc.

1- The dark heart is not a brooch
2- "any other marksman could have done" and yet they didnt.
3- she kicked a LOT of ass during the questing experience, and while she couldn't hit xalatath, she is literally the only one who ACTUALLY HAS.

Nah man, Alleria should have killed xalatath midway through the leveling campaign.

More like we'll do all the work and then Alleria gets the final word.
    Hi

2 weeks and people already forgot that Khadgar unleashed a full powered Atiesh Kamehame against Xal and it did nothing.

This is just the prologue of the Worldsoul Saga, the story just started.

She shouldnt have rushed to 80 and just dealt with Xal'atath while scaling was helping her.

I'm not saying she should have defeated Xalatath by now, but I want to see her kick some ass and showcase to us that she is actually vital here. The story starts with her fuck up in dalaran, then she ducks up during the crowning ceremony and after that she needs Lilian to do her job because she can't trust herself. Her accomplishments so far have been disappointing.

    Source: Trust me bro.

Alleria literally destroyed the main villain's plot McGuffin and released Khadgar from his captivity. Pay attention to the story.

So true, what the hell is wrong with her, doesn't she know to watch guides?

"Why didn't the main boss baddie die at the beginning?"

This is how video games have gone since the beginning. Heck, it's how books have gone long before that. The point is to have Xal come across as overwhelmingly powerful, and the heroes are supposed to lose hope. This is how Wrath, Cata, WoD, Legion, SL, and Dragonflight all went.

I totally agree with your statements and I am glad you are aware of your own mistake with this thread. But I do wonder why you bothered to post about something like this at this point in time. SO FAR we have not even seen anything even remotely worth of concluding who is or isn't useless...

It's like reading "Why Frodo still hasn't destroyed the Ring? He just left the Shire!"

I do kinda feel like they are making her seem abit too... weak, like Everytime she Interacts with Knifu, They jsut wave there hand, and abuse the void elf, part of Alleria, it really makes it seem like being a Void elf, Vs a Void enemy is a terrible, thing if all Knifu has to do is wave her hand to make the MC drop there weapon.

    How did she fuck up?
