It's been 20 years, ladies and gentlemen...! 20 years waiting to play with the "class/archetype" that I've wanted the most since the Vanilla era. The Dark Ranger!!

I was really disappointed when I saw that the Hero Talents didn't fulfill the promise of "you'll be able to play with the class costume of your favorite Warcraft hero"
But now Wowhead has shown the new changes coming to celebrate WoW's 20th anniversary and the visuals of the talents are MUCH BETTER and the entire rework of the hero talents is MUCH BETTER!!

I really loved these changes.
Unfortunately, Sylvanas' "Haunted Wave" ability is still missing from HOTS!! A dark teleport. It could replace disengage. 2 charges. 30 sec cooldown would be great.

And I still think that black arrow should replace Arcane Shot (MM) and Cobra Shot (BM), mainly because black arrow is visually beautiful and I would like to press this button whenever I want, and also because that green and serpentine arrow does not match the Dark Ranger fantasy for BM at all.

In addition to everything said above, I would be in heaven if Dark Ranger had a double jump, stealth replace camouflage, a 15% increase in speed and all skills had the black and purple effect (maybe a Glyph, Blizz?).
Oh, also, just like Dark Hounds is now only for BM... Wailing Arrow should literally replace Aimed Shot (MM).

And Blizz... give us a badass black mask of a crow with red (or purple) eyes.

That's it! I could die saying that life was worth it...

Black Arrow has been redesigned to replace Kill Shot in 11.0.5, and while it has a smaller visual now, it is used much more often and on multiple targets at once.

It certainly beats a dark ranger class, the resources being spent on just a few talents and visuals for Hunter seems fine to me.

Honestly I felt the launch Dark Ranger was a little disappointing but these upcoming changes are huge. Very well done imo.

Looking forward to this but unfortunately this (and some of the other changes) really highlight how they got to a point where they had to ship the game even though a lot of hero specs weren't finished. This really isn't the case of getting performance data and making changes, because the season isn't even out yet. This stuff all just got pushed.


Incidentally, this is also why I don't want them to add more classes. Despite the huge workforce on this game, they still don't have enough to keep up with existing classes on time, let alone new ones.
