Are the normal raiders mad that Delves drop heroic raid gear?

Why would they be? The gear is not that good and random, GL when you get 3 trinkets in a row or not get the map or 610 and normal raiders can do delves themselves, its super easy, same as HC raiding

Nothing is stopping them from running delves, solo or with groups.
If gear ilvl was to be a concern then normal raiders in said situation would be crying every time they log in since heroic, mythic and m+ all award better gear.
If they only do normal raids because that's what they enjoy .. how is normal raiding less enjoyable if other people are able to get some gear from other activities?

I guess that you never heard Family/Friend Guild.
They only raid 2 times a week.
They don't have time or don't want to do other things.

They feel good about themselves because they have better gear than that non-raiders while spend the least amount of time.

Yeah but delves are also made for those people (maybe not the top tiers tho).

So there is probably not a large number of people who just raid normal mode and won't do delves. On the contrary, as soon as M+ and mythic raiding comes out, all the top players will probably quit doing delves as it only caps at champion gear (and hero 1 gear for maps).

That being said, it is weird that after doing all m0s multiple times and the full normal mode raid, it is the tier 8 delves I did which will give me the highest ilvl on the vault next week. But I am fine with that.

The only thing I hate in the delves design in general is the lifes cap and how this greatly affects rewards. This is just dumb and should be removed IMO. Just keep that shit for achivements and cosmetics etc.

Let's have delves drop mythic raid quality gear and apply the same arguments... then grab the popcorn when suddely "It's not the same!" In all honestly, I've always been an advocate of capping ilvl of gear drops to heroic raid ilvl and just having mythic raiding be for the fun of the activity versus getting higher ilvl. I have a sneaking suspicion that people would suddenly have a lot more issues with the 'fun' of mythic raiding if it didn't drop high ilvl gear, which would point to mythic raiding maybe not actually being fun for people... just a hunch. Would certainly make sure that anyone mythic raiding didn't feel 'forced' to raid for BiS, but was there for the progression and challenge. Plus the tuning would be way easier and consistent to balance, positives all around.

Anyone doing heroic raids or higher level m+ are going to be able to upgrade the gear a lot more quickly than someone just doing delves. So it might get them in the neighborhood, but they will be behind in the big picture. Things are just closer right now this early in the season. Crests will become more important than the starting level of gear. As soon as the raiders have upgraded to 8/8 and delve-only players are at 1 or 2/8 it's less of a debate. And as others said, heroic raiders can do delves too.

In my experience people who chose to raid with FnF guilds are the least concerned about the gear level of others out of any WoW demographic.

I am sure they will be mad at some point. Because they are raiders after all. They have a well known history for wanting all the best gear for their own only.

As a mythic raider I couldn't care less what gear any of you get or how you got it. Hell the more you get the better just in case I find any of you in a pug in the future, right? I never understood this weird obsession you and people like you have with how others play the game or what they get while playing it... It's super weird behavior.
