Question regarding Engineering Knowledge points.

So I have gotten pretty far with my engineering profession but now have encountered a wall. I have completed all my recipes for the knowledge points, except for the ones that require the artisan acuity.

In total, I only have 165 knowledge points spent. This is including, collecting all the treasure, and buying all the rep / acuity cost items that offer the 10+ knowledge points I also received a few points from disturbed earth dig sites, maybe 15 in total from those. I have no more knowledge items left to purchase, so all i am aware of to get more points is via patron crafting and those dig sites.

From my understanding I am supposed to the patron crafting orders to get some knowledge skill items. Ok cool, did that the 1st week, got about 5 points from that, completed all of the orders on the patron crafting orders. So since launch I have been checking everyday, and completing all the patron order.

Since week one, I have not gotten a single patron craft that rewards knowledge points. Its all Acuity or those runes, Figured with this reset I should see some with skill points as the reward. This is not been the case, Just more artisan acuity.

Has this been the case for other engineers? Or do I just have that bad of RNG, I'm also not entirely sure if the patron crafting orders are set for everyone, or is more like a personal rng system?

Also is 165 a lot? I feel I have been pretty on top of trying to make sure I don't miss any knowledge points each week, but I lack a frame of reference, so unsure if i did well or not.

What everyone experience been with the Patron crafting system? Am I getting shafted? or am about on par with everyone else?

Bad RNG. Patron orders are specific to your toon. Might have to wait until the existing orders expire before you can get new ones.

I've been trying everything to max my engineering too and I've spent 167 points, so your 165 is pretty good especially if you haven't got any points from patron orders.

There's a weekly quest to fulfill 2 crafting orders, that gives 2 skill points. And there's also the weekly treatise on engineering craftable item that you can place on public order to get made for you, that gives 1 point per week.

But yeah, seems we've hit the wall and will be creeping along from now.

Could be worse though, engineering has 480 points total to max everything, my other prof is jewelcrafting and it needs 720 total!
