or do you consider TBC glorified patch too?
bcs if you watch TBC reveal NEW MONSTERS were presented as feature
7 zones, 5 raid locations, 16 dungeons, 5 new spells for each class at launch

    What are you talking about

But then I asked how come she hasn't been logging in lately? She said she's bored, has 2 level 80's and just losing interest with not much to do. I said the same, I have 3 level 80s my main is i609 and alts i580+ but I log in this past week, and think, ok...what to do? What do I want to do? Run a Raid? Hell no. Run a M+ dungeon, maybe but not in the mood for potential drama or the rush rush, go, go, go mentality in a PUG. Ok I'll just do the weekly World Boss and weekly cache quests.

For both my daughter and I, 6 weeks might be a record for us to have this "I'm bored already" discussion of a new WoW expansion. With DL this didn't happen for a few months, same with Shittylands it was quick though 2 months and i was bored, and much longer for BfA like6+ months into it until I was "bored" and Legion we never thought that in Legion, the best of the newer expansions.
Happened with me, too. Was an "upper intermediate" casual player in s4 DF (2.8k io, curve, some mythic bosses pugged), but have zero energy for that this season - haven't even tried any m+ yet, and haven't even killed Ansurek on NM.

However, I find it entertaining to collect mounts, tmogs, toys, and stuff, soloing Mythic SL raids and NM/HM DF ones (for some you still will need 2 players mechanics-wise, e.g., Diurna (which still can be soloed by pet classes, I suppose). Also, it's fun to get races you never played before to lvl 50 and complete heritage armor quests, which are usually awesome. You can try to play a race or spec you never played earlier - just do it at a slow pace, without early min-maxxing or leveling guides, without spamming dungeons, and preferably, without using flying mounts until the very late game whenever it's possible. Idk about others, but for me it felt like I'm actually playing the game, not competing in a toxic min-max FOMO environment.

So, maybe it'll work for you? If not, then take a wee rest and wait until the next major patch.

There are so many games I have played for like 2 weeks and then never touched them again, like Elden Ring. And those games get praised as the best thing to ever happen.

And then we have WoW where people think its shit when they get bored of it after playing nonstop for 2 months.

I wouldn't really go into counting stuff like this. Nowadays world content is exhausted in 2-3 weeks, whether it's new expansion or patch, so I wouldn't count zones.

The dungeons... I think realistically only m+ dungeons count as those are the ones that people constantly run. And regardless of how many dungeons an expansion adds you always get 8 different ones for each season. So a person running those wouldn't see a difference between a new patch and a new expansion.

Raids - both new season and new expansion add 1 raid.

Spells and abilities are being constantly tweaked.

I think the most important thing that differentiates new expansion from a patch is that with new expansion everyone's level, gear and professions are reset to 0.

but it's all meaningless. Whether you call it a patch or expansion it doesn't matter - the only thing that matters is whether they bring enough new stuff for you to keep paying for it.
I have enough of EA ruining great franchises and studios, forcing DRM and Origin on their games, releasing incomplete games only to sell day-1 DLCs or spill dozens of DLCs, and then saying it, and microtransactions, is what players want, stopping players from giving EA games poor reviews, as well as deflecting complaints with cheap PR tricks.

I'm not going to buy any game by EA as long as they continue those practices.

Yeah, that one is a bullshit statement if I've heard one. BFA was better than Cata, and Cata was shit.

I honestly can't believe this thread has gone on this long.

I'll never be a Blizz white knight, but this isn't a WoW issue. Its burnout. Take some months off. Take the rest of the expansion off. Every single expansion gets threads like these. Burnout at your job, or a hobby, or a specific game is expected. Its fine, it doesn't mean the game is bad.

1-6 + moba QERF are 10 buttons with shift/ctrl modifier =30 buttons. At 30 buttons you wont find a class that needs more for pve.
As for procs you can download premade weakaura trackers from wagio.io , i think that's also the best starting point - just look at what they are tracking and you know what matters.
    Chinese players are players too
    Hi

all expacs go thru this at the start, then a gap, then next patch

you see it when leveling or farming past content, like mechagon, torgast, zeren mortis, STV fishing contest, etc. are rather dead then the bing bing wahoo wears off the current content. sorta weird taking a 60 to korthia or ZM and seeing more players than near the end of SL

i was doing STV fishing contest on some lower level alts, i go for the fish trinket or the boots since start of TWW. was doing real well in getting the 40 fish and fishing in the top 50 to get a prize selection quest. this past Sunday it was packed, had no chance, i realized the TWW wahoo was spent, i will now have to wait for Season of the Bing Bing Wahoo patch 11.0

you didn't answer the question though. every expansion has had new zones, new raids, new dungeons and new spells. so why is TWW a "glorified patch" and TBC is not?
