Thank you Blizzard for giving ear options to humans instead of opening the door to half-elf nonsense.

Maybe hitting the 40 mark ... maybe getting grumpier, maybe maybe ... but watching THESE devs talk about the game I love and played so much in the past 20years .... gives me a feeling of sadness and a feeling I lost soemthing.
I hope they'd explain why the Alliance wasn't informed about the Kul'tirians apparently secret mining, and how all of them there completely vanished.
Also, do we have time skip shenanigans coming up or something?
"Delve into the aftermath of Dalaran's fall in The War Within epilogue questline"
which is then immediately followed by "Story Prologue for the 11.1 Campaign - Continue the story of The War Within"
Why are we having the expansion's epilogue when the story's continuing?
(No I'm not actually serious, but come on Bliz, jeez)

ughh can we... STOP doing this same TIRED ASS storyline with literally.. EVERY. FUCKING. CHARACTER? The Horde did this in MoP. The Horde did this in WoD. The Horde did this in Legion's intro. The Horde did this at the end of BFA. The Alliance did this at the end of BFA. The covenants did this in almost EVERY patch of Shadowlands -- Same with all the Dragonflights in Dragonflight. Anduin has done this several times. Jaina has done this several times. Sylvanas has done this twice. Thrall has done this in Wrath, Cata, MoP, and BFA. And what past mistakes..?! Kael'thas and Kel'thuzad have been fucking dead for YEARS. No one gives a shit about them right now. Their city got fucking blown up. What future course decision? They'll just obviously return to Lordaeron and rebuild the city. Smh. How about focus on something new..? Khadgar will likely step down, Modera steps up.Delve into the aftermath of Dalaran's fall in The War Within epilogue questline—the Kirin Tor must confront their past mistakes and decide on the future course of their people.

Well, I would say one mistake of the Kirin Tor was living in a giant floating city and putting it right into harms way. Having the entire city as a mobile base of operations seemed never practical to me. Why teleport the entire city if you can just teleport the important characters? Never was having the city at a location ever imporatant. It only served as a player hub, but never as a relevant plot device. Also teleporting countless civilians into warzones is not really that clever.
And... What people? I know WoW has no logic of loss and rebuilding. BfA wiped out nearly all night elves, but now they are found everywhere. Armies are wiped out, but the Horde and Alliance have still countless soldiers, ships and warmachines. But really now: Did the majority of the Kirin Tor survive? It seems that way.
Which really would make the TWW intro meaningless. Yes, Dalaran was destroyed, but apart from some profession teachers nobody relevant died. Which means they can just rebuild Dalaran, like they did after WC3.
I mean, it's not about being ungrateful or anything. It's true that this patch is not super interesting, doesn't really ring a bell for me, but it's also true that it's a minor patch. You cannot expect a lot of content for a X.0.7 patch. Honestly I will try it because of the ring, but let's see. We won't know if it's fun until we try it.
Nevertheless, Blizzard is a company, not an NPO, it's obvious that they want money. But in this case working for people to stay subscribed = more content for people to do, so I don't see the problem, really.
As long as they deliver more content to do and it's not a pain in the ass, everything is welcomed.
As expected, they are liquidating the rest of their backlog of unused mount recolors in some other event rather than do other expansion remixes and experience diminishing returns of interest.
I wonder what the creature variations will be like. New models of old creatures like with the Delta Pokemon/Alolan formes from Pokemon? The Wyvern shown in the video did not look different.
Is it weird to give criticism? No. In fact, people that are actually good at anything in life welcome any and all criticism because they want to improve.
It's the thin-skinned, weak, ego-driven people that view any criticism as an attack
Is it really so difficult to understand the people who actually make the game are only there because the people in charge of monetization can't do that work themselves so they hire them to do it under a criteria they oversee?
This patch isn't likely the devs fault, they clearly didn't get a lot of resources and time for this
That doesn't mean it's not okay for me and other people not to like it and want to pay for a sub for it nor do I need to pretend like I should be grateful for it

Clearly, you have a very limited understanding of what "criticism" is. Oh well, that's the times we live in - people think they're articulate because they can write a tweet.

So people who shitpost provide "criticism", and people who point that out are pricks?
Haha, good one.
All critique comes with counterpoints, there's nothing thin skinned about it, just defend your point.
We've never gotten a full-scale xx.x.7 patch. Early WoW lulls went unnoticed due to slow leveling and group content. We're also reaching a content creep where players demand more than resources available, same with the whole gaming industry. I won't be surprised if there's dev burnout.

I know this might be a weird take, but i'm having a hard time with them calling something siren isle with heavy storms as part of the theme, but then having the entire thing being inspired by Arizona, an inland dry zone. Does it look good? well it doesn't look bad, but it kind of clashes with what i expect from sirens and rain, that would be more aligned with the tone of tiragarde sound or tol'barad.
About everything else... well, i don't mind them using old stuff that they didn't use in the past as long as it is new to the player. I am more concerned about having a ring with gems giving special powers becoming a rule for this kind of patch. I can understand the concept of using the patch to give a power bump to players to finish the current tier and giving them some advantage on the next season start, but direcly using exactly the same method you used at the exact same point in the previous expansion looks lazy as fuck.

For me, this seems to be another grindy form of what we saw in DFF on that island.
What other method should they use, without creating another borrowed power UI a la Soulbinds? Ring is a convenient slot: you got two of those, and it doesn't usually clash with set, crafts or whatever else you're using. So it makes sense to use it if you want to incorporate the power into the existing gear system.
I swear people want new just for the sake of it being new, even if it would do the exact same shit, but with some shiny UI and additional bling. Lets brainstorm some crazy ideas, shall we? I think they should create a new armor slot: a magic buttplug you can adorn with three feathers of different colors sticking out of your ass, with all sorts of crazy powers!
But yeah you could sum it up: "We don't need another new system, the game is already overloaded with different UIs and power sources!". Blizzard uses existing systems: "Bleh, boring".

Sucks to hear about the pointed ear options for Humans and Kul Tiran characters.
I mean, does not suck to have more options to have the Arathi visual, but this pretty much axes the possibility of playable Arathi.
I'm not against the ring itself, i'm against the ring becoming the X.0.7 system by default with no expectation for it to last more than that mini patch. Expansions have always been formulaic, but to me a borrowed power system expected to last 3 months should not be a selling point for a patch unless they plan to keep it around growing in power for the rest of the expansion or it is the last patch of the expansion and you allow players to get crazy power levels.
The alternative? gear has upgrade tracks, we have crests... play around with those.
