First pick would be Vashj'ir to have an underwater house.
Second pick would be Stranglethorn Vale. The music and aesthetics of the zone brings back great memories.

It is largely depends of number of houses available to player and types of it.
Will it be faction specific? Character specific? Warband specific? etc etc.
If they build same thing as ESO built - I'll buy houses for every race, maybe join some similars for it (For 52 alts as I have - I probably merge some alts of same race into one home)
If there will be movable building to various zones - place race specific houses near their "main lands" aka Darkspear will live near Echo Isles, dwarves near Ironforge and so on.
But if that would be garrison 2.0 without racial houses - I place 1 for main, others still be parking in Orgrimmar/SW.
as a DK i dont want house, i want my own necropolis floating above northrend
Oh I would love them to be in crazy places. But we will probably be restricted a lot.
It'll probably be something like FFXIV's housing districts or a personal instance yeah.
There's no enough space in the game world to support everyone having houses. That, and I imagine you'll probably get a 'house hearthstone' which would lead people to putting their house in the most relevant spot content-wise.

Not interested in this at all. Wow is sadly too old game with too outdated graphics and game engine and this housing feature will never be as pleasing as it is in games like ESO. IMO Wow should have been made to retire and leave it as free to play classic Wow and then bring on that Wow2 with fresh graphics and game engine. It could have been done and I am sure most of Wow fans would have embraced it. They could have even implemented ways to include your Wow titles, mounts and transmog gear etc. you acquired in Wow at least on some level, maybe not all of it but some just to let us feel it is a continuation. They should have saved this world soul saga and anything that follows and release them in Wow2. Of course this work should have been started a long time ago, but why didn't they. I would have.
The Vale had a lot of locations...

Would like a draenei zone but not holding my breath, I imagine it will be in or near a capital city, so toss up between Stormwind or Ironforge, I would generally pick IF but if it looks good enough could be tempted by SW.
As to none capital zones, I would struggle, if travel is no issue, I would be tempted by Uldum on the river banks.
