PVP balance in 2v2 is so bad.

I'm queueing fury warrior shadow priest, and it's the least fun thing possible.
It's 100% clear that healers are completely broken. Beyond that the personal defensives dps specs have are broken aswell.
The sensation of nuking into brickwalls isn't fun at all.

Take another expansion, Shadowlands for example. Back then it could possibly be fun queueing that same comp, since healers weren't so incredibly broken, and perhaps its not a healers issue but a general issue with the game, and it's so unfun it hurts.

I get players are apathetic towards this because Ubisoft just doesn't listen. It's very strange to me that they haven't configured the 2v2 bracket at all.

    1. they could separate the bracket so that much like skirmish when queueing it's 2 dps, or exclusively healer+dps vs healer+dps. I don't really think tanks belong in a 2dps bracket either.
    2. they could increase dampening

I really enjoy playing 2v2 it's fun to me but when only facing healer+dps every game it gets boring. Sure you might come across a random prot paladin or rogue+mage.

Skirmish is really fun, and it works to an extent, but it gets quite boring facing people that just try to basically gear up from scratch, that's not a very rewarding situation. But there's no other option except for tunneling into 99% healers in rated.

they started making healers godmode in like cata? with final form in wod? and then it was like u cant touch them with no damp.

in cata offhealers were strong too and dps classes had not that much def toolkit +cc chains were long(pre nerfs) there were a lot of double dps in 2s even triple dps in 3s

then there were only comps like mage/rogue and some seasons with stuff like boomkin lock

for me it wouldnt be a problem but now(quite a few expansions) u cant even beat super bad dps healer in 2s as a double dps(that is not rogue mage) at low rating... also u cant even beat healers in world pvp making it super annoying on sparks farm for example

dampening is overall good(better word is 'necessary') system but not being able to kill ppl without it at huge %% shows the state of the game

Yeah, it’s never been designed to be perfectly balanced, that’s why you can’t get elite rewards from it.

That said, there’s not been many expansions where shadow priest fury warrior ever would have been good in any 2v2 scenario. There have only ever been a handful of comps that can properly push as double dps in 2s.

You would have to remove like half the cc dps speccs have nowadays and tone down burst windows before you even think about touching healer.

Getting tired of all this 1,6 hard stuck dps player with their horrible takes who are unable to do their damage rotation right and wonder why healer dont struggle against them.

Healing is already unfun and you want to increase dampening even more. Just specc voidweaver disc instead of shadowpriest and you will be fine.

Also you can watch Snupy play around 2k+ with double dps without issues. But hey its the games fault you are stuck at 1,6, am I right?

Just post some VODs of your 2s games and we may actually able to help you improve. But you wont do that, because the issue isnt with you , or?

    because Ubisoft just doesn't listen.
    I laughed.

2vs2 PvP is basically a glorified duel. WoW PvP is unbalanced as is and the less players you have the worse it gets. 2v2 was never and will never be a pleasant experience for every comp. Arena is most likely balanced around 3v3 (since it's the most played game mode), so if you're missing 33% of the players you get a totally different game. Best find a 3rd player to get something good. Or play a healer: If you can't beat them, join them!
