    [Concept] Multi-Classes

Recently, @Fantazma made a thread about potential multi-classes. Unfortunately, it was closed due to dealing with the subject of private servers. I've always had the idea of Guild Wars' secondary profession in mind. So, in this thread i'm going to attempt to create some potentially interesting class combinations. Would you like to see that as a feature, or would it be a balancing nightmare?

    Spoiler:

    Death Knight

Death Knight + Demon Hunter = Death Hunter
This class combines the Demon Hunter's Metamorphosis ability with the theme of the Death Knight, creating a class that transforms into an Undead to eradicate other Undead. Instead of consuming a demonic soul, these Death Hunters have been experimented upon by some foul alchemy to be able to transform into an Undead monstrosity. They have no use for Fel tattoos or blindfolds, but would have several Undead customization options to choose from. Instead of Warglaives, they'd wield bone scythes, steel hooks or meat-cleavers. They'd still retain the Death Knight's ability to wear plate armor. You would not, however, be a summoner of Undead minions. Those specializing in Blood will turn into a vampiric Dreadlord. Those specializing in Frost will turn into a Lich. And those specializing in Unholy will turn into an Abomination.

Death Knight + Mage = Necromancer
Like Kel'thuzad, you are a former member of the Kirin Tor who has decided to delve into the dark arts of Death. This class combination will finally allow for a spellcaster class who raises the dead. You will have the forces of blood and necromancy at your disposal. For that, you will be cast out of the Kirin Tor only to join the Cult of the Damned.

Death Knight + Monk = Conduit of the Covenants
You are a Monk. But, instead of channeling the power of the four August Celestials, you channel the powers of the four Shadowlands covenants. You heal with either Kyrian or Night Fae powers, reinforce yourself with Nercrolord power and strike with the power of the Venthyr.

Death Knight + Priest = The Acolyte
You are a cultist. Not of the Old Gods, but of Death. You revere this cosmic force and its demigods and so you build places of worship for them. You are so devoted to the plane of Death that you are able to turn into a Shade by sacrificing yourself, bringing with it a set of new abilities. You wield the power of the Mawsworn or that of Oribos's Purpose instead of Light and Void. You will get cultist customization options, which include grey skin but also facial markings.

Death Knight + Rogue = Plaguebringer
You are a Rogue that has developed his poison-making to a whole new level. The Plaguebringer focuses on the creation of deadly plagues and chemical gases, injecting them into victims or spraying it over the battlefield. You are impervious to the effects due to the gas mask and the thick clothes you wear. Your creations can have a variety of horrifying effects on your targets. Syringes and vials will be part of your toolkit.

Death Knight + Shaman = Dark Shaman
This class combination will wield elements corrupted by Decay. Instead of fire, you will wield burned-out ash. Instead of water, you will wield corrupted water. instead of air, you will wield toxic air. And, instead of earth, you will wield desecrated earth. The spirits you will call upon will not be of any benevolent ancestors but, rather, wraiths - vengeful spirits and ghosts.

Death Knight + Warlock = Soldier of Darkness
These Knights of Death, based on the first generation, are not the Runeblade-carrying, domination-infused Death Knights of the Scourge, but rather robed or armored spellcasters who use dark powers to wreak havoc and destruction. This version of the Death Knight will center around the use of purple Death spells, akin to Death Grip, Strangulate and Dark Simulacrum. They will carry staves, maces or axes with them and will have more of a skeletal appearance.

    Demon Hunter

Demon Hunter + Druid = Demigod
You use your Metamorphosis skill to turn to, not animals but, a Keeper of the Grove\Dryad. This is more than just the Hero Talent. With this form, you gain control over all of nature. As part animal part tree, you can command flora as well as fight like a beast. For example, your gnarled root hand can extend to entangle your target while also be used to claw them. You can use your antlers to ram your target and hooves to kick at them. As a lord of the forest, you will command much more plant life than just mere treants. As it is rumored that Elune took part in Cenarius' creation, you wouldn't have a problem commanding the power of the stars, either. You'd just be way more powerful than a normal mortal in this form. Gameplay can take inspiration from Lunara. Other races will have different versions.

Demon Hunter + Hunter = Aspectral Embodiment
You combine your animal aspects with Metamorphosis to create aspectral embodiments. No longer do you mimick animals, but you turn into them. Not in the druidic sense of the word, but humanoid animals that embody certain traits. For example, aspect of the chameleon will turn you into a chameleon-like Dracthyr (without the wings), allowing you to camouflage yourself while in combat. Aspect of the Cheetah will turn you into a Cheetah Saberon, increasing your speed to that of a D.R.I.V.E vehicle. Aspect of the Eagle will turn you into an eagle Arakkoa, allowing you to ascend into the sky for a short duration and see enemies hiding out of sight. Aspect of the Turtle will turn you into a Tortollan, allowing for a defensive gameplay like hiding in your shell.

Demon Hunter + Mage = Archon
This class combination will focus on a metamorphosis form, but not a demonic one. The Archon form is a pure Arcane form. Taking this form will allow the Mage to unleash devastating array of Arcane powers. As a Constellar, more or less, of Titanic origins, beings of Arcane, you will get a set of new cosmic abilities, allowing you to utilize the universe's most destructive forces.

Demon Hunter + Monk = Celestial Incarnate
This class combination will embody the August Celestials' powers. Instead of summoning effigies or statues of them, you will turn into them. As a Windwalker, you'd turn into a humanoid Xuen. As a Mistweaver you'd turn into either a humanoid Yu'lon or Chi-Ji. As a Brewmaster, you'd turn into a humanoid Niuzao. You are now not just a conduit of their powers. You are them.

Demon Hunter + Paladin = Archangel
This is more than just the simple Guardian of Ancient Kings. This class combination is fully dedicated to the form of an Archangel. You fight as a holy novice in the army of heaven at first, but fully transform into an Archangel when you use your Metamorphosis skill. As a winged Archangel, you can fly around the battlefield, dispensing holy magic and strikes upon your enemies.

Demon Hunter + Priest = Void Ascendant
Although Shivarras exist, i feel like they wouldn't be much different to the Demon Hunter. This class combination will allow the priest to transtorm into a Void aberration, bringing with it melee capabilities infused with Void magic. This grotesque moster will lash out with its tentacles while also dishing out Void magic at the target.

Demon Hunter + Shaman = Elemental Lord
This class combination is more than a mere Elemental Ascendant. You turn into an Elemental Lord. Not in size, of course, but in power. As a Firelord, you'd have the power to unleash waves of lava while also pounding the ground with a fiery hammer. As a Windlord, you'd have the power to create powerful hurricanes while also slashing with your lightning sword. As a Lord of Tides, you'd be able to create enormous tsunamies while fighting with a trident. As a Stonelord, you'd be able to raise mountains of stone from the ground while carrying a stone shield to defend yourself. Gameplay can be inspired by HotS Ragnaros.

Demon Hunter + Warlock = Demonic Commander
With this class combination, not only would you command an army of demons, you will also turn into a demonic general, fighting alongside your demonic minions in the fray of battle. The ultimate demonic class, it combines the best of the Warlock and the Demon Hunter to create a demonic master. Now, you will feel like a true devil.

Demon Hunter + Warrior = Colossus
You transform into a giant. Not the Avatar ability, but a proper giant. Your attacks and movement slow down significantly, but they cause much more damage than in normal form. Your slams will crush the ground, not only squashing anyone under it, but also sundering it apart and causing an earthquake. Your weapon swings will, literally, hurl targets hundreds of yards away or cleave them in half. You trade speed for power.

    Druid

Druid + Hunter = Pack Leader
This class combination will allow you to fight alongside your pets as one of them. You will transform into an animal while being backed by animal pets. This will be a dream come true for anyone who has ever struggled between choosing a Hunter or a Druid as a main. Do i want to become an animal or command them? Now you can do both.

Druid + Mage = Dream Faerie
You use the powers of the Emerald Dream, turning you into a Fae creature. You can enchant and hypnotize your enemies while also transforming them into helpless creatures. You can manipulate their surroundings into a dream-like state, where nothing makes sense and the rules of reality do not apply. Faeries are cute and mischevious, but also deadly and dangerous. So, anyone dealing with them needs to be careful.

Druid + Paladin = Green Knight
As a Green Knight, you are a protector of nature. Your mission is to spread Druidism to all corners of the world. You fight for a greener world and would not stop until your mission is done. A crusader in the name of mother nature, you are bold and altruistic. Corruption and decay will not be tolerated when you are around. Though, you are prone to extremism, allowing nature to take hold over everything essential. Take up the Banner of the Cenarion Circle and march in the name of nature, for it will prevail over any other force.

Druid + Priest = Druid of the Nightmare
The nightmare's hold took over you. You cannot serve nature anymore. You now exist to spread nightmarish dreams to the other denizens of Azeroth. This class combination will combine the Priest's mind twisting magic with the Druids' theme of nature, turning it into a Spider or a Serpent and striking fear into anyone affected.

Druid + Shaman = Nature Incarnate
Even though Druids of the Flame exist, they represent only one element. Always dreamed of embodying nature completely, but couldn't decide between Druid or Shaman? Well, now it is possible through this class combination. You will not only control the elements and natural phenomena but also the fauna and flora as well. This is the absolute embodiment of nature, combining the best of both worlds. This class combination will take inspiration from the Diablo Druid, which combines Druidism with elemental magic.

Druid + Warlock = Fae Summoner
This class combination will summon creatures from the Emerald Dream to aid the caster: from Grells to Harpies, Pixies and Fairies, Furlines and Faerie Dragons, Satyrs and Fauns, Nymphs and Dryads, Sprites and Spriggans, Lammasus and Furbolgs, Wildkins and Wisps. Summon the Emerald Dream to your side and terrorize them with fae power.

    Evoker

Evoker + Monk = Cloud Serpent
This class combination will allow your Dracthyr to look like a Cloud Serpent. While the Demon Hunter\Monk combination will focus on martial arts, this combination will focus on draconic powers. You will breath jade mist, swirly fire or jolts of lightning. You will fly without wings and your visage would be more eastern-looking.

    Evoker + Paladin = Dragonsworn
You are a Dragonsworn. You swear fealty to the Dragonflights. To serve and protect them is your purpose. You do whatever these divine creatures want of you. The aspects are your patrons. Do their bidding and, hopefully, they will bestow draconic items and powers upon you.

    Evoker + Shaman = Primalist
This class combination will allow you to play as one of the primalists, instead of being a follower of the aspects. Instead of time, flames of life, Arcane and Dream, you would command the elements as an elemental Dracthyr.

Evoker + Warlock = Draconic Summoner
Instead of summoning demons, like a Warlock, or taming draconic beasts, like a Hunter, you'd call on draconic servants of the Dragonflights. Dragonmen can be summoned to use their alchemical skills on enemy targets. They can even turn into aberrations for a short duration. Dragonspawns will be the spellcaster units, unleashing a variety of magic schools on the enemy. Drakonids will be the Warrior type, rushing headstrong into battle. The Tarasek will be the feral units, fighting like animals.

    Hunter

Hunter + Mage = Fantastic Beasts
You go on the hunt not for your average, everyday wildlife, but for magical beasts, hidden from most mortal eyes. To find them, you will need to solve magical puzzles and mysteries. Since they are not your ordinary beasts, confronting them would be a magical endeavor. You are not equipped with a gun or a bow, like expected, but with a Wand, dishing out magical spells like bullets or arrows. Once defeated, you can tame these strange creatures with a simple magic spell.

    Hunter + Paladin = Slayer
You are a Hunter of unholy beasts. From rabid foxes to mangy wolves, cursed ravens and devilish felines, possessed goats and bewitched rabbits, you work to rid the land of these vile beasts. Alongside ranged weaponry and traps, you also use holy items of the church to repel the wicked magic from the beasts. You'd play somewhat like a Witcher.

    Hunter + Priest = Sacrificer
You tame beasts, but not to be your companions. Your ultimate goal is to sacrifice them for religious purposes. Gods appreciate a sacrifice, and that is why you utilize this method to gain their favor. The more animals you sacrifice to them, the more powerful you become. Your power changes according to the god you worship.

Hunter + Rogue = Dark Ranger
Not the lame execution we got with the Hero Talent, but a proper one, combining some of Sylvanas' best moves. You will be a ranged shooter, but will combine some shadowy magic with it. For example, your attacks will have a black smoke effect to them; you will use melee weapons on top of the ranged ones; you'll be able to backflip and vault forward; you can call on a wave of banshees; you can turn into a Banshee; you can chain enemies; you can turn yourself invulnerable or disappear into a cloud of smoke; you can possess others; and you can go through several enemies as a Banshee.

Hunter + Shaman = Elemental Munitions
You are a shooter, but not just of physical damage. You lace your ammunition with either Fire, Frost or Nature magic, imbuing it with specific effects. Choosing the Fire munition will sear your enemies, causing a burn DoT or applying a Fire AoE effect. Choosing the Frost munition will apply chill effects to the target, slowing them down or completely freezing them. Choosing the Nature munition will insert some deadly poisons, toxins and venoms to your target, either slowly killing them or affecting their performance.

    Hunter + Warlock = Grenadier
You live to cause havoc and mayhem. You take your explosives to a whole different level. From Rocket Launchers to Turrets, to Grenades and Bolas, Caltrops and Spike Traps. You thrive in the chaos it creates. As a true maniac, you live to terrorize the world.

    Hunter + Warrior = Overlord
You tame not beasts but giants. Through the use of shackles and a whip, you control the immense beings to do your bidding. You outsmart the less intelligent ones, like Gronn, Ettin and Magnataurs. You need to keep a strict rule, otherwise they'd rebel against you. Like beasts, they require food to keep them happy. You'd find them a bit of a hassle but valuable allies to have. Unleash them upon your enemies and no one would question your supremacy.

    Mage

    Mage + Monk = Runemaster
You are a martial artist. But, you combine runic and arcane magic with it. Runic tattoos cover your body and your punches and kicks resonate with Arcane power. Every swing you take has an Arcane echo to it. Runic markings on the ground empower your presence as your tattoos and eyes start to glow. No one wants to face you when you're in your Arcane state. It strikes awe into anyone who witnesses it.

Mage + Paladin = Herald of the Titans
You are a servant of the Titans, not the Light. You carry out their mission of bringing order and structure to the world. For that, you declare war on anything barbaric, chaotic or wild. Your looks are much more greek in appearance, from sandals to togas and headbands. You look like a greek god. You especially admire Tyr, the titanic watcher. As a follower, you value strength and courage. Others refer to you as the embodiment of Heraclen, a mostly unknown titanic watcher. You will utilize the powers of the Titan Pantheon.

Mage + Priest = Cosmic Void
You tap into the dark side of cosmic power, the cosmic Void. Your powers do not consist of supernovas and nether tempests, but of black holes and dark matter. You will reach into the most unknown parts of the cosmos to unleash what few poeple have seen. This type of magic will have bizzare effects on targets, sometimes stretching their bodies to unimaginable proportions, pulling them into oblivion, freezing them in time, creating false imageries of them or disintegrating them into their most basic components. This magic is still unfathomable by most mortals.

Mage + Rogue = Darkmoon Performer
You are a Darkmoon Faire performer. You combine your magic skills with your incredible agility to perform some of the most astounding stunts and tricks the world has ever seen. On the field of battle, you use those talents to trick your enemies and bring them a swift end. As a circus performer, your attire resembles that of a jester. With your face often hidden by a mask, backed up by illusions, throwing knives and smoke diversions, your enemies never know what your true intentions are.

    Mage + Shaman = Alchemist
You use some of Azeroth's basic substances, some would say elements, to create a variety of magical effects. Mix and blend together various ingredients and produce a concoction that will have a surprising outcome when used. Some would turn you or your enemies into something else. Some would harm them while healing you. And, some would grant you magical powers while magically debuffing your opponents.

Mage + Warlock = Chaos Mage
You manipulate the energies of the Twisting Nether, but not in the shape of Felfire. A strange realm, where the laws of physics do not usually apply, you count on unpredictability to overwhelm your enemies. The target thinks you cast a certain spell, but it turns out to be another one entirely. You attack the person in front of you, but end up hitting the one behind you. You can make your enemies' movement be completely opposite, messing up their keyboard and mouse commands. Instead of walking, they are swimming. Instead of casting one spell, you cast multiple. Instead of a powerful attack, they end up performing a lousy one. Who knows, you might end up as another being entirely. This class combination represents randomness at its finest. You just don't know what will come next.

Mage + Warrior = Battle Mage
You combine your martial skills with magic, creating a melee Mage. You fight in close quarters but supply your attacks with magic. A disciplined yet powerful individual, this combination allows you to play like an Archmage, Kael'thas or even a Spellbreaker, who all used melee weapons alongside their magical capabilities.

    Monk

Monk + Priest = Scarlet Monk
You are a martial artists. You don't employ the powers of the four celestials, but of the Light. As a Scarlet Monk, you use your martial art gift to eliminate anyone who stands in the way of the Light. Your kicks and punches are infused with Light magic and you are religiously devoted to the Light. Mantras and chakras are just some of the abilities you utilize. Finally, you'd get to play as a Diablo III Monk. Like Overwatch's Zenyatta, you'd incorporate Void as well.

    Monk + Shaman = Transcendent
This class combination will embody the Storm, Earth and Fire ability of the Monk. You will not split into 3 elemental spirits, but outright embody them. You can choose between the 3 spirits. Choose fire and you will be a flaming swords fighter. Choose earth and you will be a pole-carrying geomancer. Choose storm and you will be a living electrical conduit. Basically, this class combination will allow you to play as an elemental bender from Avatar.

Monk + Warlock = The Occultist
You are an evil sorcerer. Not of demonic entities, but of the Sha. Based on the Sha-skin Regalia, which was given to the Warlock instead of the Priest, you call upon the powers of the Sha to serve you. All kinds of horrific Sha beings answer your call and your spells take on a white and black appearance. You control the emotions of your enemies, infecting them with doubt, fear and despair. These will eventually manifest into dark versions of your targets, making them fight their own emotions.

    Monk + Warrior = Blademaster
You combine martial art with weaponry, creating the samurai. Your swift strikes and manuevers are legendary in reputation and there are rumors you possess mystic powers as well. You do not rely on anger and do not lose yourself to it. You are disciplined and calculated. Your garments consist of both mail and leather, sometimes containing Cloud Serpent scales. Your weapon of choice is the most important aspect, as it will define your fighting style.

    Paladin

Paladin + Rogue = The Warden
You were once one of them. A lawless criminal who enjoyed nothing more than to terrorize the peacekeepers of your town. You had no code of honor. You stole and you murdered, you destroyed and you harrased. You thought only about indulging in your own desires, never taking others into consideration. That is, however, the past. You are now a keeper of the law with the skills of a master assassin. You hunt down those who were once like you. You bring criminals and crooks to justice, either by imprisoning them or eliminating them. This is not, necessarily, the Night elven version of the concept, but a general one, bringing vigilantism into the table.

Paladin + Shaman = Tribal Faith Warrior
You are a Warrior of faith. Not of the Light, but of primeval forces, like Wild Gods and Celestial bodies. Like the Tribal High Priest, you command Spirit, a combination between Nature and Light. Unlike it, though, you also use melee combat. Grab a weapon and fight in the name of the wilds.

Paladin + Warlock = Forces of Heaven
You are a summoner of the forces of Bastion. You summon various angelic beings to your side to fight in your holy cause. From Aspirants to Ascended, Watchers, Bearers, Collectors, Paragons and Hands. Backed up by an army of holy warriors, you are truly the hand of god.

    Priest

    Priest + Rogue = Inquisitor
You work in the service of the church. Your task is to get rid of unholy entities. While the Hunter\Paladin combination deals with supernatural beasts, you will deal with humanoids. Anything from vampires, to witches and undead, your mission is to cleanse areas from their presence, Roguish style. Your arsenal will include holy abilities on top of your rogue ones. But, it is not just the unholy you will take care of. You will also deal with the church's political adversaries, taking them out to increase the church's power.

Priest + Shaman = Tribal High Priest
You tread between two forces. Not Light and Void, but Spirit and Decay. Holystorm and Plague. What you know as Voodoo and Spirit. A combination between Light and nature and Shadow and Nature. This mysterious occupation invokes the powers of the Shadowlands and the Emerald Dream, but not in the conservative way. You call upon the powers of Wild Gods and the spirits of the dead, creating a class shrouded in mysticism and wonder. Take up the mantle of the tribal High Priest to plague your enemies and heal your allies.

Priest + Warlock = Void Entourage
You are a summoner. Not of demons but of Void creatures. You summon all kinds of Voidwalker variants, cosmic void entities, instead of Old God aberrations. From Voidwalkers to Voidcallers, Void Gods, Void Lords, Void Revenants, Void Wraiths, Void Hounds and other new, yet to be seen, Void variations. You command the all consuming Void, bringing doom and calamity to your enemies.

    Rogue

    Rogue + Shaman = Headhunter
You are a tribal hunter. Not of animals, but of rivals and opponents. You hunt them down using your stalking and throwing skills. You collect their heads and shrink them in an exotic ritual meant to trap their spirits inside. Reach your goal of creating a mountain of skulls, for all to see and be warned.

    Rogue + Warlock = Brotherhood
You are an assassin. But, you do not stand alone. You are part of a brotherhood of assassins, an order of subverters who do not obey the law. You are here to take out the upholders of law and set up a new lawless society where your people are not hunted down. To do that, you use tactics of terror and chaos, to keep your enemies on their toes, yet oblivious as to where the next attack would come from or who the perpetrators are. They are always around, in case you need backup. You just need to summon them to your side and they will appear from the shadows to assist you.

Unlike the Warrior\Warlock combination, they will not fight alongside you but rather perform different tasks for you. You need to take someone out swiftly and silently? Command one to ambush them and finish the job. You need a distraction? have one use distract, smoke bomb or bribe. You need someone to tailgate a target? Send one on the mission and they will mark them for you. You need to poison a target? Use your allies. You need someone to pick a lock or dismantle a trap? You can count on one of your lackeys to do so. Need someone to sap, disarm or pickpocket a target? Send one of your buddies to do so. Need a quick getaway? Call the thugs to form a crowd for you to blend in with, making you untargetable.

Rogue + Warrior = Lightweight Warrior
You are a close quarters fighter. But, you are not an Outlaw Rogue. You wield a buckler alongside a weapon. Unlike the Warrior, though, you are not hindered by your heavy armor. You retain the Rogue's agility and nimbleness, allowing for a defensive playstyle.

    Shaman

    Shaman + Warlock = Witch
You are a summoner of all sorts of supernatural creatures: Wicker Constructs, Tiki warriors, Golems, Slime Giants, Beastmen, Bogbeasts and Mistlurkers, animal familiars, Spectres, and other bizzare entities. You will use hexes, poppets and fetishes, hallucinogenic poisons and conscious-altering potions. You will wear the most terrifying masks to scare your opponents.

    Warlock

    Warlock + Warrior = Warband
You are a Warrior, but you do not fight alone. You can summon your warband to your aid, using AI versions of your warband characters. You are a force of destruction and ruin, laying waste to towns, villages and even cities in your wake. This versatile class combination could have a lot of potential, considering the amount of comps one can have depending on their Warband characters. Now, you can be a battlefield commander.

    Honorable mentions
Death Knight + Druid = Thornspeaker.
Death Knight + Hunter = Simple Tome of Bone Binding.
Evoker + Hunter = Lesser Dragonkin.
    Monk + Rogue = Shado-Pan\Subtlety Rogue (ninja).

This is such a cool concept, I loved all the concept art accompanied.
    The lore also fits perfectly.

Multi - classes would be a very elegant solution to the missing hybrid classes like Warden or Necromancer that players yearn for so much.

    Very well done thread.

I preferred the advanced class part of the Covenant concept, where your character has mastered their base class and begins learning brand new (as in never before seen in the setting) skills and magics, rather than something like warrior/druids or whatever.

You do mage+rogue and make it a fucking clown instead of a Spellblade? Why?

A lot of fun concepts here, and with some great art choices to go along with depicting them (though what's up with Void Entourage's art? Disgusting! Horrible! Throw it in the garbage!)

Would love to finally have a Runemaster class.

Would like to see Evoker combinations like this:
    - Evoker + Druid/Monk = Emerald Drakonid
    - Evoker + Mage/Warlock = Blue Drakonid
    - Evoker + Hunter/Shaman = Bronze Drakonid
    - Evoker + Priest/Paladin = Red Drakonid
    - Evoker + Rogue/Warrior = Black Drakonid

Or Spellbreaker (Mage for Spell, Rogue for stealing other people's magic)

But, the covenants only gave you 2 abilities. And the covenants shared themes across all classes.

That would be the Mage+Warrior (Battlemage).

Yea...well, finding art isn't always that easy.
Edit: just realized they were made by you.

What's the point in that? You're just splitting an Evoker apart.

    The names are obviously placeholders.

It seems to me multiclasses already exist. This just plays with the idea further.

This would be an impossible balancing nightmare.

So many interesting Cosmic Void takes admittedly through combining Priest with other classes. I guess that's another way of showing that Shadowpriest is insufficient to represent the Cosmic Void on a physically destructive level such as Sarkareth or to be a martial application of the element like a Void Knight or the Alleria class.

    In playable forms?

    Perhaps.
    But, it's fun to create.

    So, specializations.

Yeah... well, Old God is not the only form of Void.
The question is how you execute it. I think the most exciting form of cosmic void is not the pretty moba animations we've seen so far from Sarkareth, but a Voidlord-like, blackhole-ish, very horror-like scientific physics. Like something you'd see out of a space documentary.

    Yes.
The most obvious hybrid classes meld "tank with spells." The glaring examples are shaman, paladin, and deathknight.
I get into the basic structure of a class; armor, weapon, spells...
Things may seem less obvious with other classes, but the structure is there.

Of course they share existing themes and gameplay. They are combinations of existing classes. But, they don't quite exist in a playable term.

I mean the more Arcane Trickster or Bladesinging Wizard types from D&D. Lightly armored, sword in 1 hand, casting spells with the other type deal.

I appreciate the work that goes into these kinds of posts but WoW is never going to do anything even remotely like this, it would be a balancing nightmare for one thing and a game design nightmare for another. And ultimately just be one more aspect of the game people would min-max into the ground meaning most of the combos would get ignored in favor of the 'meta'.
