Sound like a good way to do it. Its not a revolutionary system or anything, just a bit fun flavor to normal raiding catch-up.

I do hope though, that this might be the start to add more content to raids outside of just progressing bosses. I really love this idea, that your actions within the raid slowly over time changes it. Maybe make it feel like we are doing some form of progression in there, instead of it just assuming, that you do the entire raid in 1 go.
May the lore be great and the stories interesting. A game without a story, is a game without a soul. Value the lore and it will reward you with fun!

Don't let yourself be satisfied with what you expect and what you seem as obvious. Ask for something good, surprising and better. Your own standards ends up being other peoples standard.

i like the system. its thematic for the raid and i like the weekly rewards for a full clear. i would suggest just either increasing the rate of renown or moving the dinars to an earlier spot on the track though

They say there's a catchup. So just wait 22 weeks and you can catch up the 20 weeks in like two IDs, not much different than the nerubian finery now where every single LFR boss almost drops a whole quest turn in for those who are behind.
So unless you are determined to unlock every renown in the ID it becomes available this is most likely a very efficient grind.

doesn't the raid only give 5000 rep? which is at most 2 renown a week if you're behind

It just says it right here:

Catchup specifics are TBD but will function very similarly to how Nerub’ar Finery did - this is to say there’ll be a sliding scale where players further behind will gain more reputation on kills, ensuring that they should rapidly approach parity with the global norm, likely in the span of a few weeks.

Still haven't got spymaster. I am still alive and doing well.

100% awesome, this is really nice.

Okay, 90%, 20 weeks sounds a bit long lol

Hey grats, you reached Renown 20! See you next week when the patch 11.2 raid comes out

I think this renown is fantastic for the cosmetic options. Getting a raid skip, portal and exclusive mount as well as turning the Hotel into a city hub is a great idea.

However 5 months is arguably too long and you get the dinars far too late. If they shifted the dinars to be earlier and MAYBE shortened the renown track it would be perfect.

I feel like the idea is pretty damn solid.
Really like how it is account wide, shared across all difficulties, and you only need get "half" of what is possible, to reach the weekly cap.

But spacing it out over 20 weeks? Not to sure about that, sure you can raid like 10 weeks, then come back and do some runs, or just some lfr to max it out.
Most people do not raid for 20 weeks in a season, if it was only cosmetics and such, then sure. But only unlocking half of what is QoL, Handicap Power etc, while your actively raiding is gonna feel like ass.

Hot sauce at 12 seems too far out, would be nice to have for progress.

If you're done earlier just come back week 20 and do a full clear, catch-up should provide a lot of renown.

A purely Cosmetic rank, players obtain ... a Teleport to the Raid’s entrance (usable from anywhere
Quality of life features are apparently purely Cosmetic. That explains the brutosaur....
