Account-wide SI flying when?
As per usual, the small indie company can't release content without it fucking up royally.
Currently there's a nasty bug where looting bosses in Timewalking causes your character to
bug out, ("a character with this name already exists") becoming unusable and forcing you to
exit out your game and close Battle.net entirely.
And another bug that prevents you from entering dungeons even if they aren't fighting a boss.
"Instance is full" and so on.

No. You have to do the new ring upgrade quest for the week on each toon to get flying on SI. It takes about 2 minutes and 50 seconds to do. Doesn't seem like much but it's extremely boring. Every 10 seconds maybe you see on your screen whether to push left, forward, or backwards and then hit that. Over and over. I did it on six toons and.......yeah, boring![]()
What are you smoking? It takes way longer than 2 minutes on a fresh alt, since you have to do the entire upgrade questline to be offered the quest that gives flying.
To get the third quest you have to unlock the storm phase which basically means doing every single weekly. It would have been nice to have flying during all that questing instead of after you're done with the ring and have no reason to be on the island.
It also makes the ring catch-up drops pointless since you still have to do every single quest if you want flying on the character.
I think you have misinterpreted what I typed. My alts have been keeping up with the quest line. I did not once mention you could do this from fresh in the SI to flying in 2 minutes. This new quest that opened up this week allows you to get SI flying when you do it. That quest was not previously available before. Since my alts had the ring maxed prior to this week they had this quest available. The first toon I ran through it, in around 2 minutes, got flying. It did not give my alts that. So each alt had to do the quest to get it. Therefore it is not account wide to get SI flying.
