lol i know, i used to use it to heal those undead affixes in m+, took about 2 deathcoils to heal them to full.

We have six healer specs, all of them are pretty magick feel good hero healers. Lame. You want to increase healer participation? Give us a COOL healer people want to play as! GW2 got this right by implementing two evil healers, giving Necromancer a heal spec and then Thief a heal spec that wields shadow magicks.




Obvious play for WoW here is shadow or blood magick, but you could mechanically differentiate it from the other healers by giving a pet. How about those blood magic golems from Throne of Thunder? Could easily have some adventurers who went there researching Mogu technology and became enamored with their Anima secrets and begin playing around with that. The spec would be based around siphoning blood from enemies, storing it in your cool blood golem, and then redistributing that to your allies. Maybe your profane brew can overflow or bubble over and spill nasty stuff on the ground as an AoE harmful to all. Maybe a minigame where you are mixing different vials and sorceries in your mobile cauldron. Make it BIG! Could have a blood transfusion theme about sucking up DoTs from your allies and trying to pass them on to your enemies, and sucking up buffs from enemies and giving them to allies. Could swap out different parts on your mech (ie basically give visuals to your talent tree choices rather than just an invisible +2% healing passive you don't notice). Give this spec to Death Knight or Mage or Tinker and bam! It's gonna be a hit I tell ya!

No, it would not help the healer pool over all, becasue some people don't want to heal, point end and simple, same with tanking, the game has added one tanking spec with all but the evoker class when they got added to the game, it still has not helped the tank pool at all and DKs/demon hunters are evil tanks.


How is a death knight healer any diffrent from a paladin healer with their abilites just vision swapped?

honestly as someone who has healed raids with shaman healing, I would personally not want a bloody mini-game where im mixing stuff on the fly in a raid fight.

An 'evil' healer wouldn't be using light spells at all, I think that's the point. Disc does not in any way actually feel like a shadow healer in its gameplay or class identity.

Evil is probably the wrong word. I think it just means a healer that doesn't have evil motivations but uses dark or forbidden magic instead of traditional holy spells.

If I was the warrior tanking a dragon, demon, etc I'd much rather have the person using magic that isn't dark and forbidden to keep me alive, thank you very much.
