    threads needing deletion

hey mods, I've reported all these but they have not been removed yet despite mods being online. basically any thread started by https://www.mmo-champion.com/members/1509036-villain498 and https://www.mmo-champion.com/members...-bohemia123456 need to be yeeted cause they're all spam!

also, whats with the reporting cooldown. one of those fuckers made 25 different threads. so it takes 12 and a half minutes to report them all...

I mean this is the fun of mods being on a voluntary basis and having a job and a personal life

    1. No one on earth wants to play World of Warcraft less than other World of Warcraft players.
    2. The desire to win>The desire for anything else in World of Warcraft. NO EXCEPTIONS

I sure hope so, nobody comes to this forum to discuss sex.

Well, there used to be this user, DragonheartMaiden or whatever, who wouldn't shut up about Moonguard ERP and other salacious stuff. They probably moved on or were permabanned a long time ago though

There's no need to flag here, just report them. If a bot has made a huge volume of threads, just make sure you report at least one thread per username; you don't have to report them all. We have a delete-all-threads-by-author option that we can use when dealing with spam. Reporting multiple ones will make it more apparent when someone is making a huge volume of threads so it can be useful to report more than one, but if you run up on the report limit (which exists because of both users and bot abusing reports), it's not a huge issue to not get them all. They'll still get taken care of when someone is around.

If they aren't handled, it's almost certainly because mods are unavailable. We have a small team and although we try to cover a lot of time zones, it's not possible to have someone available at all times. Seeing mods online doesn't necessarily mean anything, since outside of globals/admins, mods only have permissions in their specific forums and can't delete threads in other ones. (also someone could have looked at the news on their phone or something and be flagged as online but not actually be in a position to have access to mod tools at that moment)

Anyway, I know spambots are really fucking annoying. The filter catches most of them, but obviously there are still some that slip through and sometimes they post up a storm in a short time when they see they can. Someone will get them as soon as they are around to do so.
