All I read here are request regarding elves. Elves, elves, elves..., even the male dracthyrs are male... Also the eternal request for high elves... Sick and tired of elves.

There are a lot of things to explore from the other races, even the allied ones, but no, every single patch and expansion revolves around at least one elf character.

(Just in case before I get attacked: yes, I'm well aware of the player fan base and, all the lore regarding elves, and how this game is a business at the end of the day, and so on...)

Well, that's just how it goes when you're a commercial product with defined user preferences. People just like elves. A LOT of people. So while they don't EXCLUSIVELY do elves, they do a lot of elves.

Reminds me of the earlier days of the image AIs, where if you told them to make a female fantasy character, it almost always came out an elf. Even if you specified something else. The AI was like "I know what ya'll are into..." and simply went with what it learned

@Z3ROR I am also of the opinion that turning e.g. the Ghostlands into a modern zone-sized area would effectively be the same than creating an entirely new zone out of thin air, thus running into the same issue as WoD Nagrand did ("don't count the blades of grass" lmao) but at an even larger scale. Imagine the tiny isle of Quel'danas turned into a full fledged, DF- or TWW-sized place...

Imo it would be more sensible something like this:

• Westweald: Gilneas, Silverpine and the western part of the Tirisfal Glades. It could include a revamped/fully functional Gilneas as the Alliance hub for the xpac, whereas Lordaeron City is finally (re)claimed by the Forsaken and becomes the Horde hub.
• Eastweald: eastern Tirisfal plus WPL/EPL.
• Quel'thalas: Ghostlands, Eversong and w/e it's going to happen to Silvermoon (neutral hub? Srsly Blizz...?).
• Zul'Aman becomes an entire zone of its own.

How is expanding upon existing lore an issue? Case in point, the interviews do point towards this direction: an expanded-upon (enlarged) Quel'thalas, with some sense of familiarity, but also lots of new stuff because of the added granularity. Dragonflying needs to be kept in mind, too. The current setup for the Northern Eastern Kingdoms is too 'boring' in that regard, and more designed for groundtravel. Also, nothing the devs said points towards a Lordaeron-update. The scope you want is far too big, too.

@Z3ROR How is that a problem? They could enlarge the mountain-range to the south of the Ghostlands; Put an invisible wall there, just like during TBC, or any other solution. They could always delete this wall if they ever want to update/enlarge Lordaeron in the future. It could function like any other island-continent we've had. Besides, the interconnectivity is a bit overrated. Hoe many patch-zones need a teleport to reach? And we can't even fly from one continent to another. As long as the subcontinent itself is big enough, then it's fine.

The rumoured world revamp is fanon, though. It has been circling around for years. It seems Blizzard wants to revisit areas only when it makes sense to do so. There's no 'Everything will be updated by 2040'-plan or something.

Some people are setting themselves up for disappointment, even if a Quel'thalas sub-continent could really be amazing on itself.

Too soon? Well, regardless of when the new expansion will be released, I already have some things (more personal) and others that I think many would also like to see on my list:

1- Ten more new talents in the hero talent tree (or more than 10 if Blizzard is planning it that way). And I really would like the tree to be more branched and dynamic like the class and spec trees (and with several choice nodes).

4- Glyphs!! Lots of Glyphs! After the xmogs, in the visual context, Glyphs were Blizzard's best idea... but for some (Hazzikostas) reason they were lost in the past!! Right now, with the addition of hero talents, some Glyphs would solve several complaints about immersion within the hero talents. Especially for Hunters...! A Dark Ranger BM having to shoot "snake shot" causes us terrible pain. Damn stupid green snake that jumps out of our bows.

I would like for the Glyphs to go back to what it was back in WoTLK. Major and minor glyphs. Probably Blizzard can add a Prime Glyph that gives class a signficant bonus, while major glyphs gives a minor bonuses and minor glyphs are purely cosmetics.

My next item on the wishlist would be mega-sized raid. I want to have like 15 to 18 raid bosses spanning across a huge raid and make it 40 players.

High Elves are already playable on both factions as a sort of subrace.
So freakin' tired of hearing people beg for them to waste a race slot.

Would rather anything actually interesting like Naga.

Only thing I want out of Midnight at this point is some sort of actual continuation of the Blood Elf vs Void Elf theme, even if it's another ending in everybody being friends like the rest of the boring narrative they keep forcing, and no High Elf as a race.
