    Trial Edition Gold Question

    Hi guys

just have a quick question about trial edition.

i know that in the non subscribtion trial version of wow the limit on levels is 20 and gold is 10 gold

i also know that if you gain experience over the 20 levels that when you get a sub and log into a character you did in trial mode any exp over the 20 levels is added (i ran a dranei paladin in trial mode before i got my first sub and when i got the sub he shot up to level 35)

my question is about what happens to the gold you gain over the 10 gold limit. i wasnt paying attention the day i loaded into the dranei paladin.

Gold does not store like XP, if I recall. Then again, I thought the XP storing was removed - seems not.
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

well it was about 6 or 8 years ago when i got into wow and got my first sub. leveling has changed since then so it's possible that the exp storage has changed (i got my first sub sometime around the start of bfa/end of legion (i remember because i used the boost i got when i bought bfa to boost a warrior for bfa pre-patch.

i was just curious about the gold tbh.

i had hoped i would be able to use the warband bank to store excess gold. but it's linked to my sub, same as my guild.

just wanted to check as i'm thinking of taking a couple of pre-20 alts i have into lower level content to hunt old transmogs.

i have a dwarf paladin, night elf demon hunter, worgun hunter, tauren druid, goblin shaman and a forsaken death knight.

that should let me do a good chunk of the eastern kingdoms, outland, northrend

I honestly didn't even remembered that excess EXP would be stored.
However i think that for golds is not the case, Blizzard kinda take very serious server economy and player power-gains.
Not that golds from questing make you any rich but you got the point

    true.

level 20 quests arent gonna make me rich

not that it matters i've got something like a billion gold scattered across my guild bank, warband bank and my spread of level 60-80 characters

    1) I dont think the xp is stored. 2) The cap is more then 10 gold, its like 100 gold or more.

Hey! Yeah, any gold you earn above the 10g cap while on a trial account is still tracked in the background. Once you upgrade to a full subscription, the gold will become available to you. Same idea as with the XP overflow—you don’t lose it, it’s just locked until you sub. So no worries, your paladin probably had that extra gold waiting all along.

The cap is more like 1000 not 10.
Caring about thousands of gold from questing at level 20 sounds like a complete waste of time.

Playing a trial account is a total waste of time, if you really dont have money, just farm gold on your main and buy a sub with tokens.
